I'm curious, should we be (secretly) pulling for Tennessee to beat OU so when they come to TTown their playoff hopes are basically over and possibly aren't as enthused about that game? I figure we've won the head to head against Tennessee and anything that could take the air out of OU's balloon would be good for us come November 15th.

Maybe? I too would prefer for them to have less motivation against us. They are already our "homecoming" game.

I know it's against prevailing sentiment, but I'm in Buzzard's camp on this one. I think Bama is best served by a Tennessee win over Oklahoma. One of 'em has to win. Whichever one wins has playoff aspirations so long as they don't lose another game. That's NOT the Oklahoma I want rolling into Tuscaloosa after an off-week... while we're playing LSU before playing Oklahoma.
So just for this week... GO VOLS!!

I've never hated Oklahoma, not like I hate Tennessee.
To me Ok. is kind of like Au. I just don't like them.
I think I liked Ok, best when they weren't in the SEC.
I would have preferred the SEC without Oklahoma and Mizzou. I'm not sure why I don't like Mizzou.

I agree, both teams along with Texas is just not a natural fit. However, I like getting players from Texas because they have athletes who are just as good as SEC players.
