I saw a bullet hole in the right front of the windshield. I take it that means it was the shot that killed the driver was fired by the ICE agent in front of the car.
A complication is that the driver had backed up a bit, and had turned the wheels to her right in an attempt to evade the ICE agents. The ICE agent who fired, did not have time to see that her wheels were turned to the right, so when the car moved forward, if the wheels had been straight or turned to the left, the car would have run him over. He made a split second decision. The vehicle did hit the officer, regardless.
Go to the 0:05 mark and freeze the video and you will see she hit the ICE agent.
The surest way to avoid a negative interaction with police is to comply with instructions from the police. You do not have to agree with the cops' mission or even how they are going about it, and if they are wrong and acting illegitimately, you can adjudicate that matter in court, but on the street, when a cop says stop and get out of your vehicle, it is best to stop and get out of your vehicle.

I agree.
I'll also add:
Kristie Noem is an incompetant fool and a liar.
Tom Horman, in this case, seems to be the voice of reason.

What this actually looks like:

ICE tries to get woman who thinks she's being cute for a video to move her vehicle.

Three agents surround the vehicle, one from the front, two from the driver's side. Likely looking to gain control of the situation. It is not cute to them, as they're being surrounded by a mob.

Woman panics, realizing this is in fact not cute, and attempts to flee thinking she can avoid arrest. Tire loses traction and the car doesn't immediately respond to gas input. Woman panics further and guns the gas causing an erratic vehicle take off.

Agent at the front of the vehicle almost gets hit. Agents respond by opening fire thinking the woman is using the vehicle as a deadly weapon, trying to hit the lead ICE agent at the front of the vehicle.

Woman who shouldn't have even been there, but was there because she got spun out of control on TikTok drama dies.

Agents have to live with it. Will likely have people demanding a mob-style execution by COB today.

What the Right Wants: Psychotic leftist domestic terrorist tries to kill ICE agents! We should use more force.

What the Left Wants: Fascist NAZI psychopaths are murdering women and children! We should use more force.

Who actually wins: Minnesota politicians and bureaucrats who can spin this into a riot and continue to avoid accountability for fraud. Federal politicians who can use the flames to continue to avoid accountability for a billionaire child sex trafficking ring.

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

Don't be stupid, stupid.

I've seen the many video angles. If this ICE cop isn't going to prison, this country is hopeless.
From a forensic standpoint, a bullet hole in the front of the windshield is going to be hard to explain away. I see this ending with only a civil case 'win'.
If there were other shots fired, that's a differfent matter.

Here is the thing: The cop who "amost got hit" (which is debatable from the footage I've seen) escalated the situation by standing in front of the car. The woman's wheels were turning right, and she WAS attempting to leave, slowly. Stopping her would not need deadly force.

Already, the wingnuts are blaming the victim. Why? Because they support the jackboots of ICE, and they don't give a rip about justice. If this had been an abortion protester, they would be livid.

This idiot wanted to be famous. I"m sure he is now. And I hope he serves a long sentence.

According to the policy, deadly force cannot be used to stop someone who is fleeing, though it is authorized when an officer believes that someone who's trying to escape poses a serious threat to the officer or others. The two narrow circumstances outlined in the policy are:

  1. when a person in the vehicle is using or imminently threatening deadly force by means other than the vehicle, or
  2. when the vehicle itself is being operated in a manner that poses an imminent threat and no other objectively reasonable defensive option exists—explicitly including "moving out of the path of the vehicle."
A former ICE official pointed out to CBS News that it appears the agent who fired was recording or photographing the driver with a cell phone in his left hand while drawing his weapon, a detail that raises questions about positioning, focus, and available "outs."

"At a certain point, you need to understand not to put yourself in these positions," another federal agent told CBS News. "Why did you put yourself in front of the car? You're staging the scene. Tactically, why would you put yourself in that position? ... That's why training is so important. That's why positioning is so important."

As one former GS-15 HSI agent put it, "I've been conducting stops and approaches for 25 years … I never, ever wanted to be intentionally in front of the vehicle."

I hope he's sent to the state pen. And put in the general population. Justice will prevail a that point.

Every time I look at this I see more things.
It looks like this ICE agent shot more than once. I have no idea how many times she was hit and when.
It also appears that she was NOT attempting to block anybody. You can actually see her with the window down trying to wave the ICE SUV by, not block or interfere.

Videos Contradict Trump Administration Account of ICE Shooting in Minneapolis

An analysis of footage from three camera angles shows that the motorist was driving away from — not toward — a federal officer when he opened fire.

On Wednesday in Minneapolis, a federal agent fatally shot a motorist, 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. Trump administration officials said these were “defensive shots” fired because the officer was being run over. But our analysis of bystander footage, filmed from different angles, appears to show the agent was not in the path of the victim’s SUV when he fired three shots at close range.

Here’s how events unfolded. Moments before the shooting, the victim’s maroon SUV is stopped in the middle of the street. Multiple unmarked federal vehicles are idling nearby. Secretary Noem alleged the motorist “was blocking the officers in.” Bystanders are blowing whistles and yelling at federal agents. Then, federal vehicles start moving toward the maroon SUV with sirens and lights blaring. A federal agent films the scene on his phone. The driver rolls forward slightly, turning left, then stops and waves for others to go ahead. Two agents exit this silver pickup and walk toward the vehicle. Moments later, shots are fired.

Let’s look at the scene again more closely. This is the agent who shoots the driver. He walks around the car filming and disappears from view. Other agents pull up and order the driver to exit her vehicle. One of them grabs at the door handle and reaches inside. The SUV reverses, then turns right, apparently attempting to leave. At the same time, the agent filming crosses toward the left of the vehicle and grabs his gun. He opens fire on the motorist and continues shooting as she drives past. The moment the agent fires, he is standing here to the left of the SUV and the wheels are pointing to the right away from the agent.

This appears to conflict with allegations that the SUV was ramming or about to ram the officer. President Trump and others said the federal agent was hit by the SUV, often pointing to another video filmed from a different angle. And it’s true that at this moment, in this grainy, low-resolution footage, it does look like the agent is being struck by the SUV. But when we synchronize it with the first clip, we can see the agent is not being run over. In fact, his feet are positioned away from the SUV. The SUV crashes into a white car parked down the road. A bystander runs toward the collision. The federal agents on scene do not appear to rush to provide emergency medical care. Eventually, the agent who shot the motorist approaches the vehicle. Seconds later, he turns back around and tells his colleagues to call 911. Agents blocked several bystanders who attempt to provide medical care, including one who identifies himself as a physician. At the same time, several agents, including the agent who opened fire, get in their vehicles and drive off, apparently altering the active crime scene.

Thank God someone was filming this. LE is well-knwon for covering their backsides when they screw up. The whole underlying notion behind Back The Blue was the understanding that LE should be able to act with impunity against anyone they (meaning the rightwingers and other bros) don't like.

I say again, if this had been an abortion protest, and the woman was anit-abortion, you'd hear screams from MAGA and the rest of them.

and yet the administration lies will continue to be spread

You're right about if it had been a pro life woman the right would be screaming, but also know the left would be silent. We have become so tribal that most only care about the death of those in their tribe.

Not me.

I'm always against police abuse. I fully support law enforcement, but I do not ever support reckless disregard for the safety and decency.

If they did this to the Phelp's crazies, I would be just as incensed.

I get it, I've no idea what happened in the moment as even with video footage it's difficult to tell. I can clearly see that her front wheels were spinning while she was still turning them, so the agent in front of the car would have heard the engine rev up as the car started moving.

I'm not defending the shooting, but I believe LEO are taught to stand in front of vehicles to restrict their movement. At the very least it's a commonly used tactic.

If I had to pass judgement on this situation I'd likely find both parties at fault, but thankfully I'm not in that position.

That said, as the post I quoted above said, each side is falling lockstep into their tribal calling.
