Led by coach Amos Alonzo Stagg, Chicago finished the season with an 11–0 record and defeated previously unbeaten Michigan 2–0 in the final game of the season to secure the title, which was awarded by the Helms Athletic Foundation (HAF) and the National Championship Foundation (NCF).

nathan mackinnon had TWO open nets and failed to score.
But yet it was 3 on 3 OT rules that cost them the game....
Not our fault Conner wanted to rush the goal 1 on 3 and turned the puck over with the other two playing POOR defense.
