Gottfried has lost this group.

Gee playing with no intensity and Tubbs not finding his place in the offense is a direct reflection of the coaching staff. It's their job to have these guys prepared and if nothing else playing hard. I know Tubbs hasn't played a lot, but again that goes back to the coaching staff not using him during the 14 game non-conference schedule.

Tubbs has never had much of a basketball mentality and he relies on his athletic ability to get the job done...worked in high school but college is a whole new game

Gee played hard last year, made key plays when we needed him. His problem can only be fixed by himself. Its a mental thing, somewhere he let his game slump and he needs to go back and watch film from last year and ask himself "why am I not playing like that this year?"

i'm not saying putting the students alond the side of the court would make us a powerhouse, but it will definately help the home atmosphere. right now, it feels like they are just sticking us in the corner, same with football. not much you can do from there. i feel that we could influence more people to be involved if we are put along the side. the louder it gets, the harder it is for the visiting team to perform their best. it's sad to say, but coleman is pretty mild.

There is no way that the students are ever going to surround the court. Just like football, the alumni will rule everything. CMG wanted students to do that but the money people aren't giving up their seats for anything.

The last Bama player in the draft was Mo Williams. Draft isn't a good estimation though. Look at how many 1st team/ Second Team All SEC players. I know for sure Dudley was an All-America in 2002, Williams was national freshman of the year, Winston, Steele, Davidson have all been all SEC. Grizzard was as well I think. CMG knows how to recruit. Getting through to this group seems to be the problem.

If Mike Anderson was here I would suspect that just because he runs and guns doesn't mean the Gee would be out of his funk or play defense, Steele wouldn't be hurt or that Davidson would play like he is 6'11. At some point the players need to play like the can and not be spoiled.

Home atmosphere or not, he consistently wins at home. That is NOT the problem. He has lost two games at home this year. The students would not help him on the road. What would help him is better player rotation and benching the spoiled starters for a game or two. Of course, this should have been done two months ago. The bench is a great motivator. They would give all-out effort and not be spoiled if they saw they would be planted on the bench for an extended time. However, they know Gottfried will let them back in, so why give any effort? This is not new. The upperclassmen have always ruled Gottfried's teams. When they are young, they listen to him and we have good teams. When they get older, they do not listen to him and we struggle.

All I have to say about Tubbs is at least he is one of the few TRYING to play defense. I'd love to see what Mike Anderson could do with Gee...

Gee picked his game up to some degree in the second half, about 29 games to late. I completly agree with you that Tubbs play really hard and i love that just wish he had more of a bball mind.

Kennedy from Ole Miss is looking like a pretty decent coach.

I wonder if Bob Knight would be interested

Mike Anderson was NEVER won the NCAA championship we do not want him he loses games

We need a coach that has never lost

Mike Anderson was the "brains" behind Nolan Richardson when he went to 2 final fours and won the championship in 1994. He knows how to get it done.:)
