LSU vs MSU Game thread

I don't blame them from throwing deep. None of their offensive plays are working, so at least try to get a big play while not working. MSU's best hope is for the entire LSU secondary to slip and fall at the same time, and even if that happens, LSU might run 'em down to save a TD.

Hilarious, but true.

States backup QB is a JUCO transfer, LSU just scored. WRAP it up and lets go home. I guarentee you the student section is going on home.

Well they are playing the number 1 defense in the SEC but still I wouldn't put another one in the air for awhile. Or heck put in the freshman! Oh well .. and their defense looks so good.

Man, I was pulling hard for Miss St. Oh well. Game's over as far as I'm concerned. Can only get worse for the Miss. St. QB.

I blame States poor play on CMS. His loss to State last year allowed them to be overconfident coming in to this season and has fostered poor execution. I expect State to go to the jumbo pkg in the second half in order to stage a come back. Yep, yet another cross for CMS to bear.

don't know about the first 20 minutes that i missed, but the end of the half was a clinic in stupid play calling and poor clock management by state.

and it sure ain't jimbo fisher calling plays for the tigers either.

all in all, a pretty shabby game.

but it's college football season baby! bring it on!!!

I thought I recognized that O-line technique...got it from studying our film, did they?;)

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Is the MSU QB throwing to the LSU DBs on purpose. 4 interceptions in the first half. What is the game record for intercepted passes? lol

LSU is not having a great game offensively, their QB and OL are lacking. Of course it is the first game and it is raining and . I am not that convinced that Flynn is as good as LSU is making him out to be.

Game note: I am impressed with Flutie and James calling the ESPN game. They are doing some good analysis for a change.

I think that when Flynn goes up against a better SEC defense he will make alot of mistakes...

If MSU can pressure him into making mistakes, I know our defense has what it takes,

Miss State looks pretty good on defense, but their offense is average to poor. Playing against LSU's tough D doesn't help.

LSU doesn't look as sharp as I expected, but they have so, so much talent. Once their QB settles down and gets a few games under his belt, they'll start to click better. The defense looks as good as advertised -- 4 INT's in the first half!

Final score will be close to what I expected. Something like 34-3 LSU.
