Who tried to bury you? I don't remember anything done or said by LSU against Bama when y'all got hit with sanctions?
Amen to that! Great point!
I can't change anyone's opinion or point of view and I respect what each of you guys have to say (except for hating on the Yankees part, I'm a damn yankee myself lol, but I love my fellow Tide fans regardless), but in my very own opinion, the bowl season is the time of year we set all of our differences aside and cheer for the family we absolutely love to hate (excluding Opelika Tech of course). We can rant and rave about each other all day, but truth of the matter is, deep down inside, we all share a mutual love for each other and that's the bottom line. If that wasn't the case, then we would spend less time bashing each other and more time concerning our very own selves.
And even to sound a bit selfish, think of it this way: the more out of conference wins an SEC team racks up, the better Alabama looks seeing how we're also member of the SEC. This is by far the toughest conference, and we should all be proud to play in a conference alongside some of the nation's most elite programs.
When an LSU fan says to me "I always cheer for you guys when you play the barn" immediately LSU's stock goes up in my book, despite the fact that it's one person. Of course, I know several Alabama fans cheer for Opelika Polytechnic Institute when they're not playing Alabama, but never will I support that rundown program EVER again! And the enemy of my enemy will always have a special place in my heart.
I would say if you're a college football lover as well as an Alabama lover, you should cheer for conference always; if you're only an Alabama lover, you should only cheer for Alabama and Alabama only.
Of course, I consider myself a "college football lover," even though I love Alabama more than anything in this world, I will always represent my conference in out of conference action. Screw the Big 10, Pac 10, ACC, Big East, and any other conference who has the nerve to stand in the path of the mighty SEC!
