I got this when I logged in... RTR. Duty fulfilled.

I usually play a standard tuned guitar...but I tune it down a 1/2 step. I think it makes my tone better. I'll play in open G a good bit...because I play lots of John Lee Hooker songs and that's what he used. Hope this helps....

You may not like Phish, but Trey sure can play a guitar. I personally don't like anything by Jimmy Buffett. Maybe it was all of the drunk chicks singing/yelling the songs in my ear while I was hanging out in bars.

Johnny Mack Brown is from Dothan and was in a bunch of westerns. Fred Wesley is from Mobile. He was the band director for James Brown and then jumped on the Parliament/Funkadelic mothership. Fred Wesley is awesome. That's all I've got.

Tube Screamer rocks. It's my favorite. I guess I'm gonna be the next Eddie Van Halen. I like my Boss RC-20XL Loop station. It's fun to play around with. You can lay 11 loops down at once. The best feature is that you can change the output level so your loops don't dominate anything...

I have a buddy who has a Fender HotRod Delux for sell. It's 40 watts with one 12" speaker and 3 channels. It's used, but he said he would take it to the shop and get the kinks worked out. It has a significant buzz even when nothing is plugged in and he's said it's blown a couple of fuses...

Yeah "Unbroken" is weird...but it rocks. Phish did try to emulate Zappa. I've read several things where they said he was their main influnce. Junta is their best album, imo. Live...they do indeed rip it up. I've never tried to learn any zappa songs...they are to insane. But I dig his music.

1. Guyute by Phish. It's a long song with tons of changes, but it rocks. 2. Unbroken Chain by the Grateful Dead. It's not too hard...I just can't get it to sound right. I don't even try to play it anymore. Shady Grove is a great song. I can't play it either.
