Still not seeing what the problem was. He needed out of Tuscaloosa and was offered more money by another team. Is it because it was Tennessee not Syracuse or somebody else?
Really? Are you that concerned about the man's home life? I don't really know the dealing of Willis' personal life but he is a hell of a good coach and could care less if he had three wives and had to leave 2 back in cow town.
"It's business" and "who cares" sums it up nicely. I'm not sure what kind of judgements were made in these hires, but I believe both teams got a great deal while Auburn is getting a huge shaft. They have made good strides since the disasterous Chizik hire and I am curious to see how they fill...
Absolutely great hire. As good of a recruiter as Willis is I've always thought him to be better at coaching IMO.
Now for the backhanded part of the post:
I've wondered why the people of the board applaud this but have great anger towards UT and the "timing" of the hire of Lance? Is this not...
And how many points did UT score? MSU has a pretty good D-line. A lot of pressure will bring draws and screens. Best way is with confusing coverage. UF has been a maste of that against UT.
Re: Tennessee preview: Saban gets first taste of UA-UT rivalry
This isn't the last Colquitt. There is at least one more younger brother that is "supposed" to be better than all the others, but that's what they always say. Jimmy Clausen looks better than his brothers so far, right?
I always have had respect for Bama fans for their knowledge of the game and their passion for their team. Some Vol fans would call me traitorous for calling for change, but I think it's crazy to wait for things to get better, while other football teams are changing. I miss the days when it was...
That's my point. You guys took chances on making your program better. We seem to be stuck on a guy who hasn't won a thing since 1998, mNC, SEC or otherwise. We all know a divisional title is an embarressment to even type out.
As a TN fan, I must say that I am totally envious of the fact that Bama finally decided they needed to break the "Good Ole Boy" system and do what it takes to win. After making a couple of errors in coaching hires, they did what needed to be done. Some called it being bammers having unreal...
The UCS is not a group, just one very annoying poster from some of the old boards, such as ESPN or CFBmedia (now defunct). He goes by the name rush_man. If you think this poll is a hoot it's better than some of his previous ones.
Not only that but he also had some good offenses with Heath Shuler and Andy Kelly (as QB coach). His players got better but CRS players only got worse. Even though CRS took crap about his play calling, he is probably better than Cut.
