Trust me, I'm trying to get out of here.

I hate the city, my job is okay (and quite lucrative for what it is).

Have an interview back home in Dallas on Feb 2, which will be me coming off the road for good.
I finished high school in Springfield, Illinois. The three winters I spent there helped me to decide to head south to UA.

My stepmother texted me from Springfield that it was 0 this morning. They won't see 32 degrees for the next week.

My grandson, growing up around Orlando, considers San Diego too cold. :) I fear the ice which is what they forecast our even ending with. We'll probably be without power for a long time...
My son works for the Navy in San Diego. He loves how the weather rarely changes. He says that the TV guys can pre-record the forecast in May and go away for the summer. Highs in the 70s, lows in the 60s.

I know. It feels heavenly to me. I could never get over how cool it was to be so far south. Here, we dodged a bullet. The ice is just north of us. Here on Monte Sano, it's 34 and raining. Just a couple of degrees lower and we'd be without power forever. However, next week is lows in the teens all week and highs in the 30s. Miserable. We'll be in single digits up here...

near the atlanta airport, we are fine. some ice on the powerlines and trees, but not enough to cause an issue and it looks like the precip is done until the heavy rains and higher temps come in later today.
Yeah, it was pretty meh. It is cold, but that is about it.

I hope all the people that bought out the stores for 3 days enjoy all of their milk and bread.
