Bama softball is the #1 seed in the NCAA tournament. Congratulations Ladies and RTR!

Top of 6th: Griggs pinch hitting to lead off. Hard ground ball to 3rd ruled an error, so Moten still has a no hitter going. Griggs rips a line drive to left center, but it's caught for an out. The CF was playing in LC in one SCU's many defensive shifts. 1 down. White walks on 5 pitches, 1 on for BAMA, 1 down. Young up. Pitch out by SCU, but White wasn't going. Young grounds to 3rd, out at 1st. White takes 2nd, 2 down. Wells doubles to RC, White scores, now 6-0 BAMA. Runner on 2nd for BAMA, 2 down. Pupillo walks on 4 pitches. 1st and 2nd now for BAMA, 2 down. Preuitt, in for Roman, at the plate. Preuitt walks of 4 pitches. Bases now loaded for BAMA, 2 down. Giles strikes out on an outside pitch. Inning over. BAMA leaves the bases loaded. We've got to stop doing that. BAMA up 6-0.

Bottom of 6th: Moten in the circle: Line drive base hit to CF, 1 on for SCU. Bunt, out at 1st, runner takes 2nd, 1 down. High hopper to 3rd, out at 1st, 2 down, runner takes 3rd. Moten gets a K to end it. Inning over. 6-0 BAMA after 6 complete.

Top of 7th: Vandagriff leads off with a single thru the right side. 1 on for BAMA. Hubbard now hitting for BAMA. Hubbards grounds to 3rd, out at 1st, Vandagriff takes 2nd. 1 down. Hawkins singles up the middle, Vandagriff scores. BAMA now up 7-0. 1 on, 1 down for BAMA. Brooks pinch hitting for White. Brooks - ground ball to SS, Hawkins out at 2b, 2 down. White back in to run. Young homers to RF, her second HR of the game. 2 runs score, BAMA now up 9-0. Duchsherer in for Wells at the plate - flies out to CF, inning over. BAMA now up 9-0. Last chance for SCU coming up.

Bottom of 7th: Moten lifted for Alea Johnson. Starts off with a 3 pitch K, 1 down. Short fly ball to RF, great running catch by Preuitt, 2 down. Ground ball to SS, out at 1st, game over. BAMA played 3 games in this regional and did not give up a run. Great pitching all weekend for BAMA. Great job ladies. Keep it going next weekend.

BAMA advances to Super Regional. If things hold as they are, BAMA will be facing LSU.

Yes. What a pleasant surprise. They are a long way from the team that was supposed to finish 9th in the SEC. They are a true "team" and usually find a way to work together to get a victory. They need to keep it going this weekend against an LSU team that seems to be getting hot at the right time. I say let's just win the first two and head to OKC! ROLL TIDE LADIES!!

Bama takes down the Lady Tiggers from Baton Rouge in Game 1 of the Super Regional by a score of 7-0.

Briski gave up one hit…a lead off double in the first. Then she retired 21 batters in a row for a one hitter. Her second consecutive one hitter.

And Mississippi State came from behind to beat the Sooners 11-9 in the Norman Regional Game 1.😂😂😂

Great game! I love this team. I've watched every weekend series since Florida State, so I've been able to watch this team grow all year, and yet it still seems like we keep getting better and better. Hopefully we can continue that on tomorrow, and into the World Series.

Perhaps. I do respect OU dominance (Bama haters never did) but afterwhile, you want to see something different. So, OU can miss a WS once in awhile.
I think CNS never went out of his way to disrespect other teams or their fanbases during his run. You’re correct that the “haters” of Bama and CNS was as much about our success as anything.

Gasso and Oklahoma? While I respect what she has accomplished in Norman, at times her snide comments and mostly “backhanded compliments” (particularly after loss) makes Patty very easy to dislike.

Texas? My disdain has nothing to do particularly with softball, but more the entitlement attitude Texas fans have across almost all sports. The “we should be there simply because we’re Texas” arrogance.

I did not know about her backhanded compliments style, so yeah I'm losing respect for her and her program.
