Bama softball is the #1 seed in the NCAA tournament. Congratulations Ladies and RTR!

I think CNS never went out of his way to disrespect other teams or their fanbases during his run. You’re correct that the “haters” of Bama and CNS was as much about our success as anything.

Gasso and Oklahoma? While I respect what she has accomplished in Norman, at times her snide comments and mostly “backhanded compliments” (particularly after loss) makes Patty very easy to dislike.

Texas? My disdain has nothing to do particularly with softball, but more the entitlement attitude Texas fans have across almost all sports. The “we should be there simply because we’re Texas” arrogance.
Plus, money has greatly contributed to their success. Hard to have respect for any team that just buys championships. They were pretty good before NIL, but I doubt they would've had such a dominant run without the Love's gas station guy handing out sacks of cash.

Wells strikes out, and Pupillo flies out. We head into the bottom of the 5th with Bama still up 4-1. Briski will take over in the circle beginning in this next half.

Briski comes out in relief of Moten in the bottom of the 5th, and immediately strikes out the first batter. Next batter reaches base on a grounder that gets just past the first basemen, and advances to second on a wild pitch. Next batter hits straight to the 3rd basement for out #2 before Briski strikes out the final batter as we head to the 6th with Bama still holding a 4-1 lead.

Roman gets a leadoff single to kick off the top of the 6th Larissa Preuitt comes in as a pinch runner and advances to second on a sac bunt.Vandagriff lines out, but Preuitt advances to 3rd. Taylor and Hawkins walk to load the bases. White pops up to end the inning with 3 stranded. We move to the bottom of the 6th with Bama still holding a 4-1 lead.

Briski strikes out the first batter in the bottom of the 6th. The second batter flies out to right. Briski then surrenders a rare walk to put 1 on with 2 outs, then gets the next batter to fly out to end the inning. Bama holds a 4-1 lead as we head to the 7th.

Back to the top of the order for Bama as we begin the 7th. Young bunts, but the throw at first gets there just in time for out #1. Murph challenges the ruling, but the call on the field is confirmed. Bama still has one challenge remaining. Wells then strikes out for out #2. Pupillo then singles to right, continuing her solid tournament showing. Preuitt flies out to right to end Bama's half of the inning. We now head to the bottom of the 7th. Last chance for LSU with Bama leading 4-1.

We begin the bottom of the seventh with a bouncer to third. The throw is just in time to get the out. LSU will challenge, but the call is upheld. LSU has one challenge remaining. The next hitter doubles to center, giving LSU a baserunner. Briski gets another strikeout for out #2. LSU is down to their final out of the season. Briski strikes out the final batter to send Bama to their 16th Women's College World Series in program history. Final: 4-1 Bama

This team has been so fun to watch all season long. Now we head back to the World Series, and I feel a little more confident than I have in our recent appearances. There's something different about this team. I can't quite place it, but this doesn't feel like years past. Hopefully we bring our best bats to OKC. Roll Tide!
