Pretty sure JessN has this one wrong. I respect your opinion, but if I were going to predict a home loss to stir up the natives, and show how impartial I am, I think I would have gone with Miss State or Auburn. This A&M game won't be that close.

You can never take away from Shula what he did as a player for the University, but he was a poor head coach with a mediocre coaching staff. Joe Kines was the lone exception of the group. He wasn't going to win this year with the complete lack of defensive depth that this team now holds...

I think he made the right decision.

Trailing Duke 14-10 at half I realized that we had a real problem with Shula. Leading a woefully depleted FIU 10-3 at half and finishing the game with less than 250 yards of total offense, I was done with him as HC at Alabama. The MSU loss was not really that much of a surprise to me.

I have no clue. It's not like the Saban hire was a watershed moment in the history of all mankind.

This was one of the worst recruiting classes I think I've seen at UA. A few standouts, but otherwise a bust. JMHO.

I live in Birmingham and I tell you right now I'd rather see Alabama playing in the Peach Bowl or Cotton Bowl as opposed to the Birmingham Bowl. Or how about the Sugar bowl? That would be nice. :rolleyes:

They play LSU in Gainesville next Saturday.
