We host Norfolk State. If we win, we play Colorado or Dayton. Anthony Grant is the coach at Dayton.

Not a fan. I can already see how this plays out - loss in the second round to Dayton. Headlines write themselves.

Losing 7 of 10 down the stretch doesn’t give me a warm, fuzzy feeling. Funny, USATODAY called them one of thebiggest snubs in the Big Dance. I don’t understand that. if they just split the last 10 they would of been in at 20-13. It would be nice if the make it to MSG , but I don’t see it.

What is sad for me is that this season, particularly how we played down the stretch, has killed what little enthusiasm I had left for Bama basketball. And I’m the guy that historically has taken in a half dozen home games per year since 1986. I’ve seen the good and bad of Bama basketball over the years.
Probably haven’t been this down in the dumps over Bama basketball since the end of the Hobbs’ era.

Didn't watch or listen to the selection show. Took my spring break Tuscaloosa Trio grand kids back after church this morning. This invite is pretty much what I expected although I didn't see the Dayton match up possibility and I don't feel good about it. On one hand I certainly hope I'm wrong. On the other hand I won't be surprised to fall to Dayton (if we get there) and maybe trigger a change. Love CAJ but truly believe his game style just won't translate with the lack top tier talent and deficient player development. The thing that bothers me most is recruiting has to be taking a hit with what this season has produced.

RTR!!!

I like what someone just said on Jox, "If the NIT was playing a game in my backyard, I'd tell them to keep the noise down so I can watch the NCAAT inside."

I love the Braves and baseball but, the NIT is like spring training for me. I'll check the scores online but, I'm not sitting down to watch the games.

I totally disagree with this. I love basketball, and to me this is just more basketball to watch.

Just like the bowl games in football. I’m fine with how many bowl games that we have now. It just means MORE FOOTBALL.

It’s also a chance to compete for a championship. Regardless of what the tournament is, a chance to play in Madison Square Garden is pretty cool IMO.

We lost early in the year to Georgia State, UCF, and Northeastern. And, we lost twice to a bad Texas A&M team. Get those 5 wins and we are 23 - 10 and probably a 6 seed. But this team under-performs so often. To me, that is coaching.

Yep, A microcosm of this team’s season was the LSU Game in BR . came out cold, played poorly, picked it up before halftime, played well, had a 6-7 point lead with 4 minutes to go and lose by 8 or 10 . That game put us on the road to the NIT!
