12/5 games of national importance catch-all thread

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

This B1G CG is dreadful. I feel like Ridley, Stewart, Robert Foster, Henry or Drake would be the best offensive player for either team. These teams look B1G slow..

I wonder if Venables at Clemson could be a fit with Saban as a DC. Their syles seem similar enough to an Xs abd Os uneducated like me, plus he knows the southeast for recruiting.

You know, I was thinking about him just this morning. I don't think I would mind...

2 very good defensive teams.

Am I wrong in my assessment of the lack of offensive playmakers? Who are the best offensive players for MSU and Iowa? Florida has a very good defense also but you saw Ridley and Stewart make a couple big plays. And BTW, whoever wins the B1G CG will be playing a team with a very good defense in the CFP..

Cook will be playing on Sundays, but neither of teams has the caliber of player that Alabama has. Guess what? No one else does, either.

Looks like real man football to me. I've jumped on the Iowa bandwagon. I'm sure you're right in your assessment of the players. After last year's tOSU game I don't want to make any assumptions though.

The Fox announcers on the Big 10 game need to switch to decaf

If UNC and Stanford both win these games, who do you pick for #4??? 1-loss UNC that just beat your committee's #1 team...or 2-loss Stanford with a tougher schedule? Both win their conferences.

Would be tempting to go with No Car even though they played to FCS teams. Probably over 1-loss OSUmw or Noter Lame because they are a P5 champ and beat previous #1 ranked team.

Stanford still leading USCw Condoms 13 - 9.

Both Iowa and Mich St look like solid, well-prepared teams that are not particularly gifted with athletes. I can find lots to like about watching both of them play.

Think the Tide would beat either convincingly, though.

Game tied at 6.
