2 P.M. deadline?

while this wait is torturing me...i will be very pleased with the man if he hasn't said one way or the other because he did want to tell his TEAM he was leaving first. i would hope that is how he'd do it.

to all these people comparing him to fran because of the 'i want to stay at wv as long as they'll have me'....quotes like that to the media from fran, didn't bother me as much as him not even telling the team in person!!! that was the worst thing (out of MANY to choose from) fran did IMO.

I seem to recall a quote from CRR after the meeting that said: (paraphrased)

"We didn't talk about facitilities or anything like that".

Of course, CRR recruits the state and was at Tulane and Clemson. Something tells me he already knows a bit about what his competitors are peddling. I'll bet CRR probably used Bama's upgrades as an example of what WV needed to do to be competitive on the recruiting trail.

This may need to split off into another thread, but any cold-stored (bottom fermented) beer is 'lagered' (German for 'store') and is therefore considered a Lager. Top fermenting beers (typically fermented @ room temp) are Ales.

A lager is simply a cold-filtered pilsner, by the way.

Nut-brown ales are scrumptious, like Newcastle. Nothing, however, and I mean nothing beats a Guinness if consumed in Ireland.

Agreed! Guinness is the best beer ever! In fact, the only beers I drink are Guinness, Newcastle, and Shiner Bock. The only "normal colored" lager that I drink is Heineken.

Any beer other than the above, I stay away from.
 
I have dedicated my life to figuring out who the next coach at AL will be for the last 2 weeks...FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, please let this end at 2:00 - 3:00... I think my job could be in jeopardy, and I haven't slept in weeks.

Unfortunately, if this is correct and CRR is meeting with the team at 3:00 EST, I don't think there will be an official announcement until after that - oh around 3:30 - 4:00. That is if there is even an official announcement! :redface:

Oh, I must protest this generalization! Many IPAs (India Pale Ale) are wonderfully robust and hoppy, and some of them will knock you on your butt (>12% ABV!).

IME, aside from beers the color of urine (lagers) the color of the beer has little to do with it's taste. Obviously you can tell a porter from an IPA or a brown by simply looking at it, but that in no way means it will taste great...

I'm not saying that ALL dark beers have a good taste, but I can't think of one beer that is the color of urine that has a good taste, not one. There are some good ambers, though I can't think of one pale ale that I care for. It is well known that the lighter colored beers are a result of prohibition when they were watered down like the women's beer in England.

I stand by my statement, if you can see through it, it ain't beer and ain't worth drinking. IMO. :BigA:

This is ridiculous. A grown man should not have butterflies of anticipation, plus all this talk of the greatest invention of all time is making me thirsty
