Game Thread: 2012 NFL Draft Thread

What about the high and mighty LSU???????

That I can remember off the top of my head: Claiborne, Brockers, Ron Brooks, Brandon Taylor...

Here's the thing, though. (And this is something that their fans said all year last year, and something that should concern us)...ALL of their key players were underclassmen. It just so happened that Claiborne (Jr.) and Brockers (So.) came out.

Here's the final Top 10 count:

Bama - 8
Georgia - 7
Oklahoma - 7
S.Carolina - 6
Miami - 6
Cal - 6
Mich. St. - 6
Iowa - 6
Wisconsin - 6
Boise St. - 6

UGA has led the SEC in the NFL draft over the last 20 years. Bama and LSU has passed them up lately, but they are still putting dawgs in the NFL. wow.

Miami could be 14-0 or 6-6 and still have their boys drafted. insane.

good year for the Big 10+2 , Illinois had 4 in the Top 50, with the exception of OSU and Michigan :)

OU still has good output year in and year out under Stoops.

Cocks best ever in NFL draft, IIRC.

Brockers was a junior, his first year as a starter.

no disrespect to their team, Bama has the same amount of young talent if not more that saw some playing time as well. with CNS, I feel more confident in developing our players to their maximum potential.

what happened with Randle? Nothing?

Not the whole story, since four of our eight were first rounders and one the third pick in the second round... :)

To piggyback, here's a cool note from John Solomon
Since '09, Alabama has more 1st rounders (11) than 7 SEC teams have in total draft picks: Aub, Ark, Tenn, Miss, MSU, Ky, Vandy.

Darius Hanks to the Redskins..

#RTR

Per Troy Hulbert II, the Colts, Texans, and Eagles were among suitors desperately vying for WR Darius Hanks.
