*** 2013 Fall Camp Thread ***

Maybe it's working I just watched an interview of Ha-Ha and he was bragging on Sylve and Collins. He talked like we were at least two to three deep at most DB spots. I still say NG is the key. If Ivory and Lake can do their job well we may have a 2011 type defense.

As much as I'd like to agree, simply don't see a Milliner or Kirkpatrick in the secondary or a Hightower and Mosely combination at linebacker. Heck, I'd be ecstatic with a 2012-grade defense. :biggrin2:

May not be quite to the Dee/Dre level but Belue is going to have a great year IMO. Fortunately we do have Mosley at LB ;). I think you will see an improvement from the 2012 squad and that defense was #1 in the nation in a lot of categories. Our LB group will be special this year.

I am thinking along the same lines too! 2013 defense could be better than the 2012.

I was really worried about Ivory. The more I read and see the less I'm worried. He held his own and more last year. Then he played with not one but two bad wheels last year. Lake is an unknown...

Does anyone know much about him? I hear how much he can bench and all that but we need Big Lake to come through.

I had been thinking about Lake as well. He's a big body and it certainly would be nice if he could contribute.

Adrian Hubbard is that man. And if he gets double-teamed, Denzel and Dickson will take plenty of advantage.

Agreed and the quote from Coach Saban about the freshmen could contribute in specialized situations gives me hope Allen and Liner can add to our pass rush.

What about the OL line swap out. From today's practice it looks like it might be permanent. If what I've heard about Shepard that he's a better run blocker than pass blocker must be true.

Today is the last two-a-days for camp. Here are some tweets:
