2014 Prospects

I don't think you could have said it any better than this. Coming to play at Alabama is just not for everybody.
Here's how this goes. If you only care about playing time, Alabama might not be the best place for you.

If you care about your life, career, and winning? Then Alabama is probably the best opportunity these kids will ever get.

pretty much what I've been trying to say.... *sigh*

From what I am hearing about the EEs is they are a very motivated group. The Qbs are organizing and pushing others ans of course guys are stepping in line with the guidance of the upper classmen. A name I have been hearing is Amari Cooper taking a leadership approach.

This is actually about high school players we may sign in 2014 but thanks for the team update.

I guess what I did a poor job of expessing what that most of the players going forward will for the most part have the same type of mental makeup. Those highly sought after players that join the program will be of that mold. USC had a good run but it appears now that was a lack of development and evaluation. Those are problems Coach Saban does not have. I'm enjoying looking forward to the next class.

Any news regarding the 2014 class? I seen on rivals where the big NT from Arkansas as well as the OL from South Carolina had good things to say about us.

corndogs on Tigerdroppings feel confident on landing Fournette at the All American game.

they 'believe' he is comparable to Adrian Petersen while in HS.

some claimed that Miles didn't signed any RBs for 2013 as to make room for Fournette.

who really knows.

That doesn't really make any sense. I can't imagine any coaching staff not signing a RB in the 2013 class so they can take Fournette. If they miss on him then they are in big trouble. That is putting way too many eggs in one basket. I like Bama's approach better...taking four RB's that are highly rated and making them compete!!! We have the best coaching staff in the country.

Does anybody really think we have a chance for Fournette?

I completely agree. you can't argue with corndog logic.
they think he is in the bag. we shall see.

We set up the same kind of approach with Cadillac Williams. Didn't work very well then, either. Mark Richt still uses the strategy. All or nothing for Tunsil and Kamara. Zilch. All in for Crowell. Double zilch.

AT,
didnt we lead at one time or at least a Bama lean?
what change, our RB depth?

Saying he was ever a Bama lean is a bit of a stretch. We will be in it until the end because of coaching connections and RB success but due to home state pressure and depth concerns I expect he will ultimately stay home. If LSU loses LF to Bama it will cause a huge dissension in Louisiana. Just like most of their premiere players do, I believe he goes to LSU, we get Roc and call it a class at RB.

I think the only way UA lands LF is if he feels he has a better future at LB which I doubt he will go that direction. Heck of a talent and could be a dominate LB but has mainly played RB and will probably stick with it.

And they're probably right. Not the same style runner, but definitely the same talent level. LSU offered Fournette after only 2 games into his freshman season.

jambama reports that there is talk of Fournette possibly wanting to leave the state, McKnight /Collins/Duvall/ Tim Williams come to mind and they were all premier players as well.
this one as you mentioned will be interesting till the very end. It wouldn't surprise me if another team aside from Bama/ lsu will come into the picture late for his service.

Ronnie Clark from Calera is waiting on LSU to offer him. If they don't he will be at Alabama.
