For Jam, Sanjose or BirminghamBama, can we expect a commit by the end of this month or is this just going to be the slowest, most drawn out recruiting year ever? Man, do I dislike NIL.

Personally, it wouldn`t surprise me if things slow down this year. This comparison process and weighing all the nuances of these competing financial offers is a time consuming process, for certain!

According to On3 we had 5 commits at this point last year which is what we have now so we are right on pace and it had nothing to do with NIL. Patience grasshopper.

Could anyone give a synopsis of where we stand with the in-state guys. Pretty awesome crop this year and the in-state guys bring a little something extra to the table.

It's hard to stay patient when we see other schools racking up commitments in the teens at this point of the year. But yes, in Saban I trust. Also happy to hear that CB Hurley is locked in with Bama. With NIL, you never know what can and will happen.

Wonder if Yella Fella has taken a run at him yet?

Same thing happened the last two years and we ended up #1 and #2 (we know how somebody else was #1 this past year). The kids already committed are not one of our targets or they will be a flip candidate. Some can be impatient but it is something none of us need to be concerned about. We are getting through the camp season and many players will want to commit before the start of their senior year so we will start raking in commits this summer. Some of the elite will wait until December or even February.

Some folks around here simply embrace the feeling of being “all tied up in knots inside”….

….while some get their jollies trying to get others all twisted up (some blatantly…and some in a more benign manner)

Peter Woods just announced he will verbally commit on July 8.
Coincidentally it's the same date Jeremiah Alexander committed to Bama last year. Take that any way you want. 😏
To answer your question regarding June, I think with NIL and being summer, I don't expect any commits for this month. I know we love recruiting news , but sometimes it can be a test for anyone's patience . Enjoy your summer and before you know it football season is here!

We are in good shape with Woods, if he could just talk his little buddy t-mitch to join him on the 8th, that would be great. And then on to Russaw and Smith. Those guys are as good a foursome as any state in the country.

As a group in 1 state?...They are,or nipping ,at the top of the list. And yes it would be huge to grab all 4. And why wouldnt they, besides the dreaded $$$$$$$$$$$$$.....And all 4 of them probably have enough ability to make plenty of that green stuff some day down the road.
