The choice is being part of Kiffin's exciting air raid attack and a team with a running QB, who is the only one likely to sniff an invitation to NYC. Kiffin's wideouts get to actually receive passes. I know we have other, more acceptable QB prospects on board, but there's only so long you can sell the sizzle before you deliver steak. Seeing Bond run that end around last weekend brought back to me his exit statement - "I want to play for a genuine drop-back QB"...
Tried to tell people that the current qb situation would affect the talent around him.

Nobody wants to work that hard and not get looks or touches.

When we get good enough to call a play from the sideline with the thought process as follows:

1) Will this play work against this look?
2) Will this play get us a first down?
3) Will this play get us a touchdown?
4) Will this play get us a commitment in the 2026 recruiting class?

When we get that good, I'll not be worried one bit about who commits and who doesn't.

The logic makes no sense. “I am worried about playing for bama because Jalen milroe who won’t be playing next year isn’t giving his current receivers a lot of touches. So I as receiver who won’t be on the team with Jalen milroe is concerned”

I mean I know we are dealing with 18-22 years olds but do these kids do any research about the coaches they commit to play for?

By this logic Aubarn would have had every recruit with eyeballs and a wifi connection decommitted...

We will take a commercial break while they deal with this mess. It seems the Head Coaches head exploded. We'll be right back...🤯

I know a lot can change between now and the time to make a decision. But I'm not so sure "coming back" will be an option for Milroe at Alabama. CKD is wanting to install his full offense and he couldn't do that this season because of Milroe. I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt he puts it off another season.

Yall gotta stop blaming this on milroe. Cunningham was pretty clear on his reasoning and its fair to be honest as frustrating ut is to lose him

We are going to do what we need to win, right now running the ball may be the best way to do that.
Milroe will head to the draft just because he will be a first or second round pick (and yes he absolutely will)

What was his reasoning?

It's the known versus the unknown.

Kiffin can sit down with Cunningham and show him exactly what he's doing now with the players on the roster and what that could look like with him. His message is we are doing it now and with you we can do it a bit better.

CKD can't do that right now. He can't show a guy what he's doing right now and how that works for a top flight WR, other than the Ryan W highlights. CKD has to sell a promise of what things could be like in the future and what he plans and hopes to do next year.

The first, especially to a 17 or 18 year old is just more concrete.

As long as you get the QB you want in each class, the other players at other positions are interchangeable, imo. Lose Cunningham, ok, replace him with another WR. Maybe he'll produce immediately like Ryan Williams or maybe it'll take him 3 years to developed. Either way, I am done with being frustrated or worry about losing prospects.
THIS! As long as you get the right QB the WR's will fall into place. It's a QB driven game, not a WR driven game.

It was all about staying in state. Ole miss basically pitched "come be Ryan Williams for your own state" that's paraphrasing but what he said.

They may have offered more NIL but it wouldn't have been much of a difference (and likley wouldn't be much more money)
And my guess is they told him "Alabama already has a 'Ryan Williams' so why not come here and be the focal point, not second fiddle". I can guarantee you that was a part of their pitch. If they didn't use that they're stupid.

Bond Stats:
24 YTD at Texas 26 receptions for 435 yards
23 YTD at Bama 28 receptions for 420 yards
He's setting the woods on fire at Texas.
Bond is just one guy among a lot of people who catch the ball at Texas. Both of their RB's are in the same category for the number of receptions as Bond. Hell, one of them has MORE receptions than Bond. Outside of money, I'm not sure the move accomplished (football wise) what he intended for it to accomplish. A TE leads the team in receptions.
