I am polanning to come to the A-Day game in a motor home and am looking for a good place to park it during the game. I will not stay the night but have too many people to bring an automobile. Any suggestions?

I'm going to A-Day on a day trip from the Shoals. I want to see the sites and A-Day of course.

Any suggestions on parking? Do they have shuttles running that day from anywhere?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I can't help you, but I need the same advice about handicap parking. Usually when we go somewhere like that there are never enough spots fro the handicapped and we end up parking a mile away. Any suggestions?

There is normally NO assigned parking for A-Day...it is always first come first serve and in the past there has never been a charge regardless of where you parked. However, due to this years exitement it is definitely possible that people might try to make a buck.

For Handicap parking there are spots at BD on all sides of the stadium, but you'll have to get there early to get one. For a great RV spot, try parking in the Calvary Baptist Church lot on Bryant just West of the stadium and on the South side of the road. It's a huge lot and if you get there early enough, you can park your RV there without a problem. They no longer allow RV's during the season because it's scholarship parking and they decided to stop allowing RV's. However, for this game you should be just fine and only 2 small blocks from the stadium.

During the season, anyone w/ a handicap decal/hangtag can park in Ten Hoor parking deck. It is not but a block or so from the stadium. You can find it's location on the map @ rolltide.com or ua.edu.

I would think that every open space around the campus will be opened up for rvs, etc. Everyone with half a brain knows that with the Saban era beginning expectations are high and attendance at A Day could very well surpass 60,000. My advice would be come on down, if they have to they can always park the rvs in the university mall parking lot or other places...

FYI, the Triathlon Collegiate National Championships...

Is taking place the morning of the A-Day game starting at 7:00. The bike and run portions will be taking place on parts of Jack Warner (River Road), Campus Drive and University Blvd before ending on the quad. I know that it will probably add to congestion for the game as these roads will probably be closed for the race.

PLEASE, be patient and polite with our triathlete visitors. They will number around a thousand and will come from all over the county.

Check the website.
