We need to put the Grubb stuff to bed.
Granted, they may end up hiring him out of necessity, but I have a very hard time believing they couldn't get Chip Kelly who is actively trying to get back into the NFL.

I hope so. Our DBs not finding the ball and getting PIs is so frustrating.Reading an article on AL.com about DCZ Wommack and found this interesting. I wonder if there will be any change in how our DB's are taught to defend with the ball in the air while being "in phase"?

The longer this drags on it leads me to believe one of two things about Grubb and the Seahawks OC job.
*CKD has requested that the announcement will not be made until after NSD to keep from losing anymore recruits
*He's not a serious candidate at this point.
Maybe it hasn't got to that point. The Seahawks may not have even contacted him at all. We don't know what he's doing regarding the matter, if anything.Certainly Grubb knows many of these hot shot OCs are one and done in the NFL. If he is looking for a stable future then working for DaBoer would be a more secure job than almost any NFL job. As I said before, I do not care what he does, just make a decision so Alabama can move on.
Well they were just defending how CNS taught them. He mentioned that was the new way of playing CB. I didn’t like it either.I hope so. Our DBs not finding the ball and getting PIs is so frustrating.
Someone on another board said their family member is on the BOT and were told that Grubb is staying. I sure hope so. Guess we will know pretty soon because I'm sure the NFL will make a hire in the next day or two.
I'd honestly be more worried about losing Grubb to the UCLA job if that happened, than I am right now about losing him to the Seahawks.Granted, they may end up hiring him out of necessity, but I have a very hard time believing they couldn't get Chip Kelly who is actively trying to get back into the NFL.
I wouldn't. UCLA doesn't invest enough to have a good football program and on top of that they now have to compete in the little 10. If you don't succeed they fire you and getting another head coaching job may take a while. A year or two at BAMA if he is successful and he could pick where he wants to go.I'd honestly be more worried about losing Grubb to the UCLA job if that happened, than I am right now about losing him to the Seahawks.

You know we had two 1st team All American and 1st round draft pick CB's on our team this year. Maybe in year's past but this does not fly for this past year.

The portal closes for Alabama players on the 10th. It reopens in the spring for everyoneDoesn't the transfer portal essentially make signing day pointless from that perspective? I mean Sayin signed and he's no longer with Alabama. Seems like a player (Williams) could sign on signing day, CKD could announce he's leaving the next day, and then the player enter the portal a day later?
