What ties does Coach Middleton have to Cutcliffe, to be leaving for Duke? I assume this would be for the OC position.

CRM coached special teams for Cutcliffe at OM. The job offer is a leteral move...he supposedly would also be coaching special teams at Duke.
I honestly don't understand this move:
1. CRM is making $230k at Bama.
2. He knows what kind of players Bama is getting and that Saban is a national championship winning coach.
3. CRM played in SEC and knows it represents highest competition at college level.
4. Bama is a national power with a recognized tradition. Duke has hardly ever won at all in football and basketball will always be king.
5. It is easy to recruit at Bama and difficult at Duke due to low number of historic wins and high level of academic standards.
I really don't get it unless it has to do with Saban's work requirements or his friendship with Cutcliffe.

Who seems to be the possible replacement if CRM goes to Duke? I have heard Bobby Williams or Sparky Woods. Anyone else heard these names or has heard another name?
