Bama coaches are confident.

I didn't mean to come off as if I were ragging on Leigh Tiffin's skills..I was more referring to "playing for field goals" and how nervous we would be if the game came down to a field goal (at least *I* would be nervous...I've seen some of the best kickers miss).

I think Leigh has done extremely well since that Arkansas game. He's been almost a hero this season.

Let me add this - there is a possibility that RM will be taken in the top ten. However, that would be an outside chance, since ILBs are rarely taken that early. The odds are that the first taken will be OLBs. Also, for those who know Ro's life before Bama, his feelings for Bama are not a mystery. It's quite possible that a few million on way or the other might not mean the same to him as to other kids. Different drummer, you know? If he does come back, I"ll pledge to say a nightly prayer for his health and safety...

Soldier for Tide has good info ... I learned that back during the Saban coaching search.

As for the coaches being confident, Jox was interviewing someone from one of the Super Six coaching functions where Saban took a few minutes away from game prep to speak. This person said that they had been around Saban on several occasions and that he was more relaxed this time than they had ever seen him.

Interesting.

Thanks for the info Solider!

I have a degree of confidence, not cocky, but confident. I just believe in these guys and have since about game 4 or so. It's our time! Roll Tide Roll !!! :BigA:

I have as well.
Thanks for the info SoldierForTide!:hurray:

As a side note: I listened yesterday to some of the pregame stuff on the radio, and for some of you who didn't hear it...Finebaum had Dr. Elko on, who CNS uses as his motivational speaker for the team. Dr. Elko basically said the same thing, that he got a feeling of confidence and preparedness from CNS about this game; Said the team just wants to finish and they are glad to make it to this point, but its all about finishing.
In later comments, he also mentioned he believes CNS has "fell in love" with this team.
If any of you watched the Nick Saban Show after the barn game, CNS got choked up talking about the players & "the drive", the defensive stand before "the drive, etc. I've never seen that from him before. Interesting stuff.

Oh and I also wanted to add, Dr. Elko said, that as big as this game was and this moment in time, and as good as it is right now for the Alabama team/program, CNS has only begun, and its only going to get better.
He said not to take away from this team and its accomplishments right now, but said he truly believes based on what he's seen, and in talking with CNS, that its just the beginning, and that should make all Tide fans feel really good about where the program is going.

I'll join you every night to make it church for Rolo....

Very good news. Honestly, I usually believe what I want to believe. Last week when there were some indicators, ie. Saban's presser, that he was not in good spirits I simply shrugged it off because I wanted to; I did not get worried last week until a few plays in and it was obvious we were flat. This week.....Revenge!

However, CNS has spoken on the emotion of last years Iron Bowl and how it was hard to ramp back up for Florida. I really hope UF has the same issues this year. Last week was a very emotional week for the Gators with the Swamp Song for Tebow. Maybe they will be a little spent in regards to being at a high level in consecutive weeks.

Regardless, I expect both teams to give it their best shot and I feel really good about our chances today.

Last year, I thought Florida had the more compete team. This year I think Bama has the more compete team. I like Bama's chances in this game if they play to their potential.

Going to be a great game, and I want these Seniors who've worked so hard to get a ring. Bama's future is looking very bright, but these Bama teams from the last two years, will always have a special place in our hearts. These teams rose above themselves by working so hard to get Bama back, and now Bama is a serious force to be dealt with.
It's time for them to get theirs........

Most current scouts, from what I have read, have him no higher than 15; he has monster games the next two, that could change, but like you said...ILB's just don't usually go that high.
Every list I have seen has Spikes going before Ro.

Looking back at Soldier's post, I see he didn't put a number on it. Unless something changes between now and the draft deadline, he would have to project in the top ten in order not to stay...

I hope you're right...I'm not sure he will make the top ten, but here's to him having the performances in the next two games that might get him there!

Another thing to think about is that Spikes graduates and could bump him down a little depending on the order of team picks and if the 1st team with a real need for a ILB decide to take Spikes instead of Ro.

Ryan Mallett just threw up a little in his mouth, so did Jevan Snead, and Jordan Jefferson, and Penn State's starting QB next year, and ......

Great infor Sunshine Pumper, drink some water, and carry on!

P. S. Don't scream at the TV, he's watching, believe me......

That dreaded NFL rookie salary cap is coming soon.

Anyway, today's the future.

You are what you think.

I am thinking national championship!!
The salary cap is far from a done deal. Anyway, as I indicated above, there are some kids to whom money is secondary. He knows he'll be a rich man anyway.
