The game was not well played or well coached. The two are not mutually exclusive. Bottom line, it was a bad day to have a bad game. Tomorrow morning CNS will be back to the grind focusing on the next task which I suspect will be recruiting and planning for next season. Yes there is still a bowl game to be played, but the focus will now be on preparation for 2014. The loss hurts, but things must be kept in perspective.
well, three of the last four national championships is pretty sweet

It's like 2011 lsu all over again. Maybe the cards will fall in place. Someone should bottle all the auburn luck and take it to.vegas

If it helps, we are West Division co-champions.
Alabama and Auburn are each 7-1 in SEC play, with Auburn owning the tie-breaker.

1992, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1999, 2002*, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013*
* Did not represent the West in the SEC CG.
I will NEVER claim the West if we don't go to Atlanta. We are not champions of ANYTHING after tonight.

True..I dunno man..All I'm saying is the game was there for us to win & auburn simply outplayed us..And yeah they out-coached us too..The loss sucks no doubt..
It sucks! Still love where we are heading though. This team should be out for blood next year!

Getting every team's best effort is wearisome. Can't we be #1 and have a team fail to execute instead of overexecute? Just every once in a while?I'm calling it a night for me. Roll Tide, everyone.

This a long shot, but there is a fairly realistic scenario that puts Bama in BCS title game...
Texas A&M beats Missouri tonight
Missouri Beats Auburn next week
Michigan State beats Ohio State next week.
We probably stay in top 5 after this loss. Just a matter of Bama vs Ok State in that scenario

BCS Championship is FSU vs Bama in that scenario

I've taken about an hour to think about it.

This is the worst loss I've experienced as an Alabama fan. Just......man.....

I'm checking out for a while so I won't have to wallow in it.

I really do think that the SEC's streak of titles is over. The barn's one loss to LSU will be all the ammo they need to make it a Florida State-OSU title game.

No way - it is a net negative for Alabama if Auburn plays for a BSCNC. It hurts us in recruiting, image, etc.
Couldn't agree more. What is unbelievable is how they went from being so bad last year to winning the West this year. I sat at the Arkansas game and heard our fans cheering for them to beat Texas A&M just because of Johnny Manziel. Obviously, they couldn't see what was coming and what it helped set us up for today. The only national titles I want to see in the state are the ones won by the University of Alabama. The farther down au is, the better.
