Would anyone have any thoughts on our chances with Asa Newell today?

Sure would like to see him come our way, but it might be hard to pull a hometown boy out of Athens.

Newell is likely all UGA. We were losing steam with Reid because UGA increased their NIL offer. But, it looks like we may have done the same and are big in with Reid.

In this NIL world you just never really know.

He needs to ask himself how many players has Mike White sent to the NBA? I haven't researched it but it doesn't seem like it would be many, especially the last few years. OTOH, it is impressive the number that CNO has sent to the NBA in a short amount of time at Bama. Plus, there are the championships we've won. NIL is great but the real money is in the NBA. As a side note, I saw where Keon Ellis was in the starting lineup for the Sacramento Kings last night.

He is teammates currently with Aiden Sherrell so he already has that connection. Not sure any of it matters if he is drawn to the NIL money.
