BCS Trophy

Last year Alabama caught alot of flak about the trophy being displayed at Walmart. Alot of that flak came from none other than the special needs children of Auburn University. There was some letter posted on these forums recently of a Auburn alum begging school officials to make sure the trophy doesn't get displayed at Walmart and disgrace the school. My question is this. What was the big deal if it was displayed at Walmart, and wasn't there some sort of contract stating the trophy had to be displayed. Just curious.

The new sponsor is Dr. Pepper and they are the ones that wanted the trophy on display at Walmart. In years past it was Sears, but they never had it at any of their stores.

It's not like everyone doesn't go to walmart. I know it may sound cheesy....but at least a lot of folks would be able to see it there.
