I have talked to Brodie before, and we are almost exactly the same height. I am 6'3. He is not 6'1, I would put a lot of money on that. I would not argue against him being closer to 190, but people on here are saying he is the same size as Ward and Flutie. That is what I was arguing against. He will be a 3rd round pick, and will be a 2nd string QB as a rookie. His arm strength makes up for ANY lack of size. Also, no one even said anything about my Brady comment. If the NFL counted on the opinions of people knocking people's size or physical makeup, maybe Montana or Brady would have never been drafted. I may not be even close to accurate about predicting Brodie's draft round, but I know he wont go undrafted like some people believe on this board.
Okay, on your Brady comment:
Do you have the picture(s) you mentioned at the combines?
Brady is listed at 6'05", 225.
I'll stand by my earlier opinion that 20-30 more pounds would help Brodie
greatly, both immediately in the draft, and throughout an NFL season. Size is among numerous factors considered by scouts, coaches and GM's.
Height and weight will have a lot of affect on which round he is selected in,
and
may be the only glaring negative that may be discussed among the pros.
I'm sure he will be chosen, and if he does want a shot at the NFL, I wish him the best to chosen by a team that's got a reasonable shot at winning, not to mention a good offensive line to prevent against an above-average Sunday beating that some NFL QB's have to take. (Brady has a fairly decent O-Line, BTW).
I'd like Croyle to come up here with the Titans myself! McNair can't last forever......
On the subject of the Pats O-Line, I was glad to learn that Wesley Britt was picked up by them onto their practice squad (I don't know when...). I missed the news of when he was let go by San Diego, and my last NFL search for him came up empty.
