That part of the story may be true, but what about the dealings with an agent? Sorry if it is mentioned in the article, but I didn't read it.

which of his 5 churches is he turning the books over for. The media is baffeling me, while i don't expect them to say he is guilty, but they are practically defending the barn nation. Saying it sounds like a MSU problem. Luginbill on DandBradio said it was a MSU problem. Sorry but if they were offered 180k and shopping 200k around to everyone else. Sounds like someone paid the money. MSU scoffed at the money, so someone paid it. One thing about the Barn, they can cover up crap better than anyone else.

If it is an MSU problem, why is the ncaa on the Auburn campus and not in Starkville?
Are they??? Jay Jacobs did say it's an ongoing investigation, but has the NCAA set up camp in either town? I thought all they're saying is they're investigating the recruitment of Cam. I really don't know, just asking.

It went the way of all the other add-on when we had the crash/hack. It'll be back. Meantime, feel free to ignore anything from there... :D

'splain this, mr internet blogger. If Rogers was shopping Cam, wouldn't he have to deliver Cam at some point? Well, if we are going to be so gullible as to believe everything that Cam and Cecil have said, then they do not even KNOW Rogers.

So, how does Rogers deliver someone from a family with which he has no relationship whatsoever? :conf3:

This guy need to think before he types.

What do you mean the Newtons' don't know Rogers?

ESPN.com article from Thursday:

"If Rogers tried to solicit money from Mississippi State, he did it on his own, without our knowledge," Cecil Newton said.

Cecil Newton said he first met Rogers two years ago, when Cam Newton left Florida. He said he talked to Rogers on several occasions to find out more about Mississippi State, but never met Rogers until Cam Newton's official visit to Starkville, Miss.
Montgomery Advertiser article on Friday:
Newton's father told the Montgomery Advertiser on Thursday night that he knew the runner, identified as former Vestavia resident Kenny Rogers, but they weren't close.

"He's someone I talked to, sure, but no more than the other people who called me after Cam left University of Florida," Cecil Newton said. "People called me all the time. He's not a friend of mine."
My question to Cecil - is he a friend or no? My dad isn't going to call some guy he labels as "not a friend of mine" to inform him on a possible school for me.

MSU scoffed at the money, so someone paid it.
A tempting assumption, but what IF Cecil is telling the truth? Say the money was offered independently of the Newton's knowledge, with the agent running a scam on his own. A relationship is not the same thing as claiming representation.

I'm not saying this is how I think it went down (nor am I a Bama fan), but this is by definition, an assumption. That said, Cecil has plenty to explain, whether the accusations are fair or not.
