Don’t start nothin, there won’t be nothin.

This was the dumbest drama I’ve ever seen played out in college football history.

The only thing that comes close is TCU playing for a national championship.
I would have fired him that day for the absurd behavior he displayed. But that’s just me.

FSU leadership and their HC cried like a bunch of babies instead of being mature and showing their students how to act when things dont go your way. Tonight UGA said "Ill give you something to cry about" and UGA is officially their daddy. I have no empathy for FSU leadership for the two year old's they really are and I hope they don't go to the SEC as we are way better than that.

UGA beating FSU’s scout team by 60 is not proof that FSU shouldn’t have been in the playoff.

95% of the starters opting out is though.

Only people I feel sorry for are the players that had to endure that splattering while their brothers quit on them, no sympathy for the coaches, administrators, their fans, or anyone else involved in this month long whine session.

Being the son of a father who had, shall we say…..shortcomings, I don’t smear sons with their fathers’ sins. Same goes for the benefit of fathers’ good deeds.

The fact that Kanell’s father might have played a role in Saban ending up in Tuscaloosa doesn’t mean that I cut Kanell himself any slack.

Good or bad, the son earns his own space in life. Danny Kanell hasn’t earned a flattering space.
I get your point, but I treat DK's and the other professional trolls' (Timmy B, etc) attempts to rile the Bama fan base like the sad little mosquito farts they are.....

Bowers and two starters from the OL (Monden and Mims) opted out
Honestly lost some respect for Bowers there. Are you playing for your team or are you playing for yourself? If I’d have had the talent I would have played for Alabama for free, though I wouldn’t have told them that. Are these guys part of a team or all they all in it for themselves? This opt out stuff is just…..idk, depressing. Maybe it was always this way and my illusion of sports and college football has just been shattered with NIL and opt outs. I’m honestly not old I’m barely in my 30s but this stuff makes me feel like a dinosaur. 🙁

I know he had a surgery of some type after he injured himself in the regular season but he played against us. 🤷🏻‍♂️ To be fair if it’s injury related I will cut A LOT more slack, like all of the slack. I honestly think some of these kids come back too early. But the trend is just, idk, depressing. I’d have given a lot to play for the Tide. I’ve had a few family members including a parent that played a sport for Alabama and to see guys just treat it as a side job or a favor or something just kills me.

Bowers is also hurt and has been a warrior all season trying to get back on the field. At some point I don’t think it was really the same as many of the others who opted out when comparing his case to theirs.

He was definitely an injury scratch. UGA had no draft opt-outs.

That’s fair, injury is different than quitting.

Yeah but that type of surgery isn’t something that you arent fully over for some time. Tua had the same surgery in 2018 after Tennessee but wasn’t the same until the Oklahoma game. Tua didn’t use his legs near in the same way as Bowers does as a TE. I can guarantee you the guy has been having serious pain every time he tries to cut and do the physical things that he is known for.

Yeah, it's sad what's happening in college football. One reason I stopped watching the NFL years ago was the greed and selfishness of the players I started seeing. It seemed many NFL players didn't really care that much anymore about winning and losing because they had their mega-million dollar contract guaranteed. Now it's happening in college football with guys opting out causing their teams to lose games and players going wherever they can get the best NIL deal. I don't think someone like Coach Bryant could have tolerated the things that are going on now. He probably would have told players that if they don't want to play in a bowl game then they can quit the team immediately.

Its already started on reddit and the sec rant by georgia fans and bama haters. My favorite was the LSU fan that said that Alabama and Texas are the only two teams that could be competitive with georgia right now but Georgia would be favored. Alabama has won 5 out of the last 6 against Georgia and didn't even trail in the sec championship game after the first quarter but georgia is still the best team....cause reasons.

I have noticed the one time Georgia beat Alabama. The narrative was "the King is dead. Their is a new dynasty in town"

Every time I have seen Bama beat Georgia the Narrative is "Well Georgia really still the best team and deserves another chance."
Bro we’ve beaten Georgia 8 out of the last 9 games
