Alabama vs LSU: Who Will Win?

Which team can put together the more consistent game?

Both teams will get the passing attack going as they hit each other with big plays and lots of mood swings in a blast of a firefight. This is where being in Death Valley on a Saturday night matters.

It’ll take a late defensive stand, but the Tigers will survive after a furious late run puts the Tide in a position for the win.

I will NOT take it!

Hope the injury report works in our favor. We need to run for over 150 yards as a team to win down there. NO TURNOVERS

Don't know if all these LSU injuries will make a difference.

I sort of browsed through SECRant this afternoon and one guy said the two schools understood the injury mandate differently. We interpreted from guys likely to play or had played. LSU turned in everyone out all the way back to the beginning of the season. He said Dellinger was the only starter out he worried about because the freshman replacing him hadn't been adequate. He's their starting left guard...

Yeah, I read the same post on SECRant today as well. That injury list outside of one player has been the same for most of the season.

I had a feeling it was something like that.

They seem to think our defense is the problem, but the defense is taking the ball away, but then the offense isn't producing the point differential these TOs should be causing!
Well, Nuss is killer against man coverage, not very good vs zone - but Bama basically lives in man right now. If Wommack can effectively run zone Bama should stop LSU dead. But if Bama stays in man most of the night LSU will probably get LOTS of passing yards.

Our best shot is probably aggressive blitzing to try and force some bad throws.

Nuss can look incredible at times but is also susceptible to throwing INTs under pressure.

Problem is blitzing basically means man coverage and if I'm not mistaken, Nuss hasn't throw a single pick all year against man.

True but as you say above we mostly leave our DBs on islands in Man.

We hardly play zone so I’m not sure we’d be good at it.

Feels like we’d have to try what we do best and hope to get home a few times and get sacks or force errant passes.

But yeah the flip side is if the pressure never gets to him he could pick us apart.

I’m nervous about our D vs their O for sure.
