Funniest thread on the board. Total clown show with Gundy, Belichick & Riley.
Not a bad move for the program to stay in the headlines. Hopefully, we won't be chasing Saban as his DC lol. Some sources are saying UNC may hire Belichick as their Head Coach as soon as Sunday.
Bill Belichick’s North Carolina interest appears serious after second interview in NYC
Maybe North Carolina’s interest in Bill Belichick — and, perhaps more importantly, Belichick’s interest in the Tar Heels — wasn’t fleeting after all.nypost.com
It sure sounds like Bill Belichick is set to become the next head coach at North Carolina
The North Carolina Tar Heels appear to be zeroing in on Bill Belichick as their next head coach following the firing of Mack Brown.fansided.com
That’s Bill’s formal “dress” hoodie he wears on special occasions like weddings, funerals and spying on other teams….

Wonder if he's gonna walk this back...“I completely get behind their argument,” Frost says. “I do think it was almost criminal how low they kept UCF in the rankings, and I think it was intentional. But at the end of the day, the playoff system is that the national champion is the team that wins the playoff.”
If that sounds like Frost isn’t completely aboard the national title train, it’s because he’s not.
“All I’ll say is if we had stayed there, I would have had a hard time getting behind it,” he says. “I think it was smart by them, because it has kept UCF in the media and in the conversation. But you know, like our rings, I kind of wish my ring just said ‘Undefeated Season’ and ‘Peach Bowl Champion.’ ”

Harsin going to work for his former DC at Boise.
I wonder if Cal plays Auburn again next year?
It will be interesting. I was hoping he would take it, just so we can see what happens. It looks like we might get to. It's going to be fascinating.Belichick to UNC is just weird. He's 72 years old and has no college experience. Big name for sure, but I just don't see him succeeding in CFB, especially the era of NIL. Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
I cannot imagine that he needs money...maybe he's still mad that no NFL team wanted him. No way this ends well for either side in the next 3-5 years.Belichick has officially been offered the job. His decision now.
Sources: 'Ball in Belichick's court' for UNC job
Sources told ESPN that the "ball is in [Bill] Belichick's court" and that North Carolina officials are on board with him becoming the coach. A resolution is expected in the near future, sources said.www.espn.com

I don't think it will work out for Bill, but I do think it could work out for UNC. From what I've heard, he's laid out everything that he believes the university needs in order to be successful, and that would include wholesale changes to the program and increased funding. I think it could be sort of a situation where maybe he himself isn't overly successful, but he does lay the blueprint for a more college-suited coach to come in and be successful down the road. It also sounds like one of their problems is too many cooks in the kitchen, much like Bama pre-Saban. It took someone that automatically commanded respect like Saban for a lot of that to change. Belichick could have a similar effect on UNC.I cannot imagine that he needs money...maybe he's still mad that no NFL team wanted him. No way this ends well for either side in the next 3-5 years.
