Just don't see Daboll as a college coach. Think he may be offered an OC job with an NFL team.
What does that mean, what if? In his 5 years at LSU, He was 8-4, 10-3, 8-5, 13-1 , 9-3. Every season his teams had 2-3 score+ blowout losses except the championship year. Not exactly the stuff of legends. It was more like 13-1 NC was an anomaly , rather than the norm. Those numbers would get Kalen DeBoer fired. I will admit he get LSU in the right track though.I think Nick really appreciates his time at Bama and really enjoys the community, but he's said multiple times before that his biggest regret is leaving LSU. For a man that's driven by achievement, he'll always have a "what if" floating in the back of his mind. I don't like that Nick has been that vocal about it, but it is what it is.
Do you mean Sumrall?Obviously, this is a rumor because it’s just people repeating what they have read online and on FB...
At church tonight, I had a handful of Auburn fans say they don't like the Golesh hire. Sumlin was who they wanted. They said they've heard that their AD is already getting in the way. He demanded that DJ Durkin remain on staff. Sumlin said no, Golesh said yes.
If this is even remotely true then nothing has changed over there, they will never learn. You can't push a coach around and have success. They'll be looking for a new coach in 3, 4 years tops.
I have a feeling Golesh is prepared for it and won’t have a problem telling them to pound sand and move on if he has toObviously, this is a rumor because it’s just people repeating what they have read online and on FB...

And he switched his base D to the 3-4 while he was in MIAWhat does that mean, what if? In his 5 years at LSU, He was 8-4, 10-3, 8-5, 13-1 , 9-3. I don’t know that he would ever have had the success at LSU that he had Alabama. He recruited much better at Alabama, Alabama is a bigger name to recruit nationally, plus the NFL probably made him realize how much he enjoyed the college game, which helped his focus.

And then if you're LSU, it's probably a lose-loae situation. Either he's fired within 5 years, or he's gonna win big and do the same thing to them when the NFL decides they wanna give him a second chance, except this time it'll be in January after the portal is closed, and it'll be open season on their roster without the ability to replenish it.This. LSU is now competing with Texas for recruits along with TAMU. Oklahoma may be also in the mix as a recruiting foe. It ain't gonna be as easy as he thinks.

Evidently, Kiffin knew he wasn't going to be coaching weeks ago if he took the LSU job according to the AD.

HE - not me - considers leaving LSU his biggest professional mistake. I believe that mistake created a monster in him, but we can't know for sure that he wouldn't have had that run at LSU. We also can't say that another coach dropped into Alabama in 2007 would have had the same run that Saban did. Also, when Saban came to Alabama it was most certainly not a bigger name than LSU. We were a laughing stock in college football that was feasting on Bear Bryant's bones. So, that is why I say that SABAN might have a "what if" he had stayed at LSU.What does that mean, what if? Years ago this mattered. Not even close to mattering anymore. Just look at Alabama's haul yesterday. Most of our big signees were from out of state, particularly Georgia.LSU has a major advantage in recruiting with no in state rival.

Most likely will never be duplicated. To just assume he runs off NC after NC if he had stayed is presumptuous at best and downright ludicrous most likely.
Go oversees and see how many LSU hats and shirts you see. Go to California and see how many you see. Go to New York...As is the assumption that he couldn't have or that anybody else would have.
Back in the day success in recruiting at Bama centered on "who won the state" between us and au. Those days are long gone.Years ago this mattered. Not even close to mattering anymore. Just look at Alabama's haul yesterday. Most of our big signees were from out of state, particularly Georgia.
