College Gameday in Tuscaloosa for Bama/UGA

If Corso comes to town, then we are doomed....

Please, not again Lee.

I think it is funny at the Gameday web site you can pick the winner at the top of the screen, and right now it is clear that only Bama fans care enough about their football to be the 100% who have voted.

I wonder how the big screen on campus will mesh with the space needed for the production of Gameday. If I'm not mistaken, it's located right where they set up the stage for the show.

Word going around is that the GameDay set will be by the stadium, in the area around the CW building and the Walk of Champions.

I see many pointing out the bad karma/history with gameday in town but I have a good statistic for you. That other stuff is in the past. THIS SEASON when gameday is in town, all three weeks, the higher ranked team has won every time regardless of home or away status! By the way, wasn't CNS on the cover of SI not too long before the season started. Gameday I'm not sure, but SI cover curse is real. And guess what. Nothing happened that I can recall. Maybe he got a hang nail. CNS is oblivious and invincible when it comes to curses/ karma/ bad luck/ evil leprechauns, ect.....

For those thinking the LSU game is a gimme for the Game Day crew, last year ESPN began doing Game Day ONLY at sites televised by ESPN/ABC to promote games on their network. The LSU game is on CBS so I don't think they'll be in T-Town for that one.

Last year the LSU/Florida game was on CBS. Gameday was there.

I wish Gameday would come every week. All of you people who hate it are just scared we will get beat with the whole college football world watching. We never lost those previous games because of Gameday/Corso. We lost because we couldn't beat the other team.

I'm not concerned about any Gameday curse. We have a bad record relative to Gameday appearances because we haven't been good enough to beat teams that warrant a trip to Tuscaloosa by ESPN. When Saban gets the program back to where we want it, our "gameday record" will improve. Last Saturday's win vs. Arkansas was great exposure for our new program...look how we vaulted up the polls after pulling that upset off on national television. UGA is another opportunity to sell what Saban is building...embrace it. IF we beat UGA - which I expect to be another tooth-and-nail SEC affair - the ceiling for this season will rise immensely. Doing it on national television with ESPN right in town will do wonders for big-money bowl positioning...it's far off and unlikely, but all the positive spin and exposure we could get with a win will put us in a better position for NYD bowls.

And ESPN got raked over the coals for doing that... so much in that Chris Fowler issued a statement on television regarding the matter.
