It's good to see Crimson at the top, even if it isn't us. It doesn't look like we'll be joining you at the big dance this year :frown: but good luck to the Tide the rest of the way.
Thanks opk! Sorry things didn't work out yesterday and hope Bradford is able to have a complete recovery and lead OK to lots of W's next year.
Thanks to all for the good wishes. Sam won the Heisman as a sophomore so if he chose he could come back for another year. Hypothetically, he could probably even make a heck of case to the NCAA for an injury year. OTOH, he could just decide to have the surgery now and rehab for the draft which might be the smart thing to do, so Mamacalled is probably right. It's a shame it ended this way. This is Bradford's last year.
This could be Bradford's last year.
He's just a redshirt junior, he still has one more year, but you are probably right, assuming he has surgery and doesn't play for the rest of this year. I doubt he'll come back to OU next year. This is Bradford's last year.
Thanks again for all the well wishes. Here's Sam's decision:

Bradford to Have Surgery
OU quarterback hopes to enter NFL Draft
Oct. 25, 2009
NORMAN, Okla. - Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford announced today that he will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery.
Noted surgeon Dr. James Andrews will perform the operation Wednesday in Birmingham, Ala.
"I dreamed about coming to Oklahoma my whole life," Bradford said. "That's the reason I came back for this season. And I came back to play, not sit on the bench. That's the reason I tried to play after the injury. I'm very disappointed that it didn't work out differently.
"Under these circumstances, and after talking to several people, this is the right thing for me to do at this point."
