i really liked this guy. he could lay some serious wood on some boys. i had no idea that tony bua(ark) was drafted ahead of him.

my question is this, who hits harder? bua or pope? both are hard hitters. even though i think bua is a cheap-shot artist. not really sure where they'll put bua, isn't he kind of a tweener (safety/lb)?

anyway, call me a homer, but my money would be on pope.

RTR!

I think I can see Derrick tearin someone a new one on the practice feild, to get into the big leagues.

Also Bua is a thug, when you can get Ark fans to admit that, which I have, you really know how bad it is.

I Remember '55

"Show class, have pride, and display character. If you do, winning takes care of itself." Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant

"I can't tell you what it means to me to be dressed and in that tunnel and running onto the field at Bryant- Denny Stadium." #56 Todd Bates, Senior 2004.

I BELIEVE

Pope almost knocked that ten receiver out, washington.. it was a little late but it was ten so good. Bua is a punk, period. Typical hog mess. I think they actually teach the art of leg whipping and chop blocking.

Put it this way, Pope could've played and propered under Coach Bryant.

An out of control punk like Bua would've never even had the opportunity to dress out.

Before the draft started I and and Green Bay, Wisconsin friend of mine (who is not necessarily an Alabama fan), both of whom have closely followed the NFL draft since the days the fist round was Tuesday and prior to the 83 quarterback class, felt that based on where he was being projected in the draft, Pope would be the steal of the draft.
