What's the deal with Jennings...I remember early on in the recruiting process that he committed out of JUCO as well as Michael Ricks. I saw that we landed Ricks and it made me wonder what happened to Jennings. Does anybody know?

Took the pro-baseball route, he's an incredible outfielder. He got drafted the first go around buy not high enough to consider playing pro-ball, this time he got picked a lot higher and went with the guaranteed money figuring if it didn't work out, he could always come back to football with some change in his pocket, can't blame him . . .

I actually think that he accepted an offer to the Detroit Tigers (MLB) last year after signing day....but then i again i could be wrong

he will be playing double a baseball with the tampa bay organization this year. the team is based out of ga. so when they play the bham barons this year, i plan to see him play. i kid u not, even though i am young (19) he is the best high school athlete i have ever seen play. i have played against and watched many bham area players and also outside bham teams play in many sports over my 4 years in high school (graduated in 2005) and he is atop my list for sure. he dominated in baseball, fball, and was all jefferson county in basketball playing against 5a (and 6a at times) competition. he had over 500 yards of total offense against a 6a fball team one friday night. no joke.

He is in the Devil Rays organization. I saw him play last year in the Appy league. He has a lot of potential as a leadoff hitter.

Good to know . Appreciate the info . I had no idea that he was in the TB organization . When DJ reaches Double-A , I'll offer an occasional update on the baseball forum since we have purchased ticket packages every season for the Montgomery Biscuits . Great place for a game .

Whenever anyone is in Montgomery , catch a game . River-Walk stadium is very nice . It's obviously located by the Alabama river and seats 6-7,000 depending on how many lawn seats are sold . Super venue with many vendors . The Biscuits won the Southern League last year and should be very strong to start the year before some of the players move up to triple-A . The season will be here before we know it .
