Does Gus leave after this?

Yeah I didn't like how he sounded either. Very abrupt and well, rude... Oh well, sucks to be you Gus and Aub. Try losing like we did last year - now that stunk!

He sounded like an angry child - he did not handle the loss or the interview well. But I have seen coaches respond worse in similar situations.

Who cares. He will get fired in a couple of years. Even though we don't have a clue how to stop his offense, we WILL figure it out. In my opinion, he showed how classless he is at the end of the game. So much for the 13 seconds season. S.N.A.S.S.

I will say this concerning Gus leaving. In the state of Alabama, he knows he will always be in Saban's shadow. AU is the little brother. If he were to go to say a place like Michigan and be successful, he would be "The Man" in the state. If he were to beat Ohio State and Meyer, he would be a legend and the most respected and powerful man in the state. Possibly an easier road to the championship too.

I didn't see all of it, but in his post game press conference he talked about his offense and what it didn't do, yards and not enough points. I didn't hear about defense much. It is all about him and his offense. He has a huge ego to go with four losses. I wouldn't be surprised if he were to leave, but I don't look for it.

I think Gus will be back, but Marshall is gone and i hope Coates and Williams are gone too.

Marshall may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, and lacks polish as a passer, but his skill set in the offense really stresses a defense.

Lets see how Gus does with different offensive players next year.

I've thought all along that the outcome of tonight's game would have a big impact on Gus's future. Does anyone believe he tries his luck in the NFL now?

No way. And this is not a shot at him at all but his system would not work there. It only has a chance in the college game. It may work for 1 season in the NFL but it would have to be for a team that is very fast. Like otherwordly fast. My 2 cents. His system could reak havoc in college for a number of years. All coaches have to adjust. I expect him to have a new wrinkle in it next season. The guy is pretty smart in my opinion.

I don't see him leaving before next season. I'll also say something that I've believed for a few years now - you don't need to be the most polished QB to run that offense, which is just fine for Malzahn. Also, for all of the Marshall-can't-throw types, he made some throws that were completed despite Alabama having coverage. I will agree, over the course of this game especially, that he just couldn't believe that his offense could be stopped from time to time. It was incredulous to him. I don't think he respects the needs of the defense enough to want to get a better DC simply because he just needs to outscore the other team. Long passes aside, Alabama played pretty solid defense for most of the game. I think Eli mentioned that Auburn only had 40-something yards rushing in the second half after accumulating 100+ in the first half - that's awesome in today's game. Again, I don't think Gus leaves, but some of y'all might want to re-think the "domination" part of the rivalry. Auburn isn't going to just lie down.

He stays...they wanted him and he wanted them. Michigan boosters are pushing hard for him though from what I hear... willing to go big on $$. I hope he stays cause I think we got his number ;) on TideFans.com ROll TIDE!

I just watched Gus's presser. I was thinking to myself that his presser is short compared to CNS. But then I realized he fielded many more questions but his answers are like a whiny spoiled brat. Whatever this whatever that.....we got a bunch of yards against 5 stars at every position. Cooper is a good player. What a sore loser.
