I'm sorry to say that I have to be out of town this weekend. Fan Day is Sunday, Aug. 8th. Could someone on this forum please video the open practice and post it either on this forum or YouTube? It would certainly be appreciated.

Nobody should ever schedule a wedding during any Alabama Football event. You've got to look ahead folks. If you are planning a wedding, may I suggest scheduling it for the Spring time which is when the flowers are in bloom and everything is beautiful.

Another issue is planned parenthood! My son and daughter-in-law are expecting their first baby and guess when it's due?!! September 4th, and you know the first child is usually late so it will probably be September 11th! Arrrrgh, Plan your parenthood to have your children in February!

I am getting married August 28th...

...so that we can be back from the honeymoon in time for the first game on September 3rd.

Oh...and our reception is going to be a tailgate theme. Go big or go home.

As far as filming things at Fan Day...I doubt we will show anything at all in the practice and it will be more fanfare than anything else. You won't really be missing out on much.

Tell me about it. I am a bridesmaid in my cousin's wedding October 9. Yep the same day as Alabama vs. South Carolina. Let's pray the game is at night like it was last year. I won't miss it if that is the case!

congrats.

i don't think it's about showing anything, i think it's more about getting to watch a lil alabama football.

I know I've asked a similar question before but exactly how organized has this been in past years? I'm assuming it will be a fairly large crowd, probably a fourth of capacity? I'll have to look for the other thread that had photos of past fan days. I wouldn't mind getting one or two autographs but even if I don't I think it would be cool enough just to get down on the field for a while.

I also wonder if any of the vendors are going to be on the Quad. I haven't seen anything about it but I've been getting a hankerin' for a Cajun ribeye sammich.

I remember a story from Warren St. John's Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer. There was a couple whose daughter was getting married during football season. They told their daughter she could get married any Saturday, except the 3rd Saturday in October. She proceeded to schedule the wedding for, you guessed it, the 3rd Saturday in October. The story goes the parents missed the wedding because it was during the game (they did, however, show up at the reception apparently).

The tentative date for my wedding is April 2nd in Florida. Flowers in bloom, and no major sports going on in which I have a vested interest, unless Bama or Florida (my fiance is a Gator fan) make a run at the Final Four. ;)
