I have no clue how this is going to work, guys. We all thought we had four spots left, and then Harbin and Lawrence took two away and now, according to that line of thought, we are down to two spots left in this class, with six legitimate candidates left on the board.

And maybe I'm just a stupid homer, but it does not seem like we are going to be striking out come NSD. Nearly everyone -- "experts" and MSU people alike -- thinks Ingram will pick Alabama tomorrow, and everyone would be absolutely shocked if Julio went anywhere aside from Alabama. Nearly everyone has thought that Jerrell Harris will stay in-state, and now that it seems he will not be heading to Auburn, what does that tell you? Quinn is likely gone to North Carolina, but we still have very good shots at both Marcel Dareus and T.J. Bryant.

We already have 28 commitments, and I honestly think we will get either three or four more. I have no clue how we are going to cram that into 25. I know about the back-counters, but we aren't going to have that many academic casualties. If all of the aforementioned happens, there will be some greyshirts going around to some people, has to be.

I'm not going to complain one bit, though. I firmly remember five years ago with Mike Price in 2003 when we had a very small class due to probation, and we could not even fill it up. At the end we literally could not give a damn scholarship away. We were giving scholarship offers to players in the final two weeks that didn't even have any other Division 1-A offers whatsoever, much less SEC offers. I've been following Alabama football for over 30 years now, and after seeing that, I was a bit afraid we would never return to a situation like now. It's really hard for me to believe, we have an ungodly class, and they are seemingly going to keep coming so much that only God knows how we will all make them fit.

And just to think... fourteen months ago we were in the outhouse with a struggling program and no head coach. All I will say is this: Anyone who cannot see that the hiring of Nick Saban is the best thing that we have done since the retirement of Bear Bryant is a damn fool.

I'm going to shoot for the moon!

Jones, Harris, Ingram, Bryant & Darius x2

I don't know how we are going to get everyone squeezed into 27 scholarships (2 back counted) but I feel confident CNS does.

Does anyone know whether he oversigned at previous schools, and how it was dealt with? It would give us a big clue as to how things will play out, and I do not know the answer.

The numbers will be made to work. CNS didn't just fall off the turnip truck. The staff by now knows (IMO) who is on board and who they will take. They also know who will make it or won't, who might greyshirt (even though CNS doesn't care for it) etc. Relax. It is going to be a new dawn in Bama football.

I believe you are mistaking curiosity for anxiety.

I feel good about JJ and believe it or not, JH. For some reason, I feel pretty good about Ingram.
And I wanted to click "TJ", but somehow I couldn't. I mean...:PDT_nknw: almost... :PDT_ht: maybe...:willy_nilly:
