part of the blame for this loss is at the feet of stoops and his decisions in the first half. failure to get points in the red zone in the first half sucked the life out of his team.

Not sure that I agree. On the first attempt, they were running the ball down FL's throats the entire drive. They had 2 tries from the one yard line. You have to go for it there in a game like this. The second time, he probably would have kicked the FG, but FL got that improbable interception on 3rd down.

Can't blame him for either, IMO. The team has to execute when it counts...

Florida is good, no doubt. But the big 12 did not prepare Ok. for a game against Fl. I think Ok would have won it all if they had played in the SEC.
I agree.

Was it just me or did the OU players look exceptional slow tonight? And I don't simply mean that Florida out-quicked them. It just seemed as if the OU backs were running in mud. As several plays were developing, it looked as if a play would get a huge gain or go all the way (based on what we have seen with BAMA and in the SEC); only to be stopped for an 8-12 yard gain. It seemed as if they could not get to the holes or turn the corners fast enough. Even when they were able to get to the corner before the defender, it seemed to take a long time. I remember thinking on one play in the 4th qtr (?) that Javy would have turned that corner and still be running. It was not the type of running that I was used to seeing. In one season, CNS has spoiled me on how a power running game should look.

Holy cow. I just woke up on my couch and had to come to the computer and check the score. I've been battling a nagging case of bronchitis brought on by a Mycoplasma infection and not getting much quality sleep.

I fell asleep right after Oklahoma scored their first TD early in the second quarter and missed the entire game. When I first woke up, I decided to re-watch what I missed since I recorded the game on the DVR. I then realize that there was a "The First 48" marathon on A&E yesterday (there was a huge list of episodes recorded yesterday) and my DVR stopped recording at just about the time I went asleep because it ran out of space.

After looking at the box score, however, it seems that the Florida defense handled the "greatest offense in history" just about in the manner that I figured it would.

I knew that the Big12 would be exposed and they have been. Their offensive juggernauts are no match for a talented defense and there appears to be no highly talented defenses in the Big12.

The question all season long was "are the Big12 offenses that good or are their defenses that bad?" That has been answered. Another question was "are the SEC offenses that bad or are their defenses that good?" I believe that one has been laid to rest as well.

SEC defense > Big 12 offense
HS defense = Big 12 defense

But, the media and most fans are going to remember this year as the Big 12 having the 3 greatest qb's to ever stop on a football field :rolleyes: (minus Tebow, of course lol).

Couple,few things;

1. I wish tebow had given us those interceptions that he gave ok
2. Ok's dline is better than ours.They were able to get continuous pressure on tebow and nailed him a few times,which we were unable to do.
3. Should we have played more of a zone defense and zone blitzed more in the seccg? It caused a couple of interceptions and seemed to have frustrated tebow.
