My goodness, I feared we might have scored too soon at the time
No lie. That game aged me about 10 years and I felt like such an arse at the game up till that TD. We had a good lead in the 1rst Half and I talked a little more trash to the Corndogs around me than I should have. They got their payback in the 2nd, until that play. Perfect call.

I remember being impressed that Mingo even made it close. If you go back and watch he goes all the way across the field and gets pretty close. I know he is light but it's still impressive for a lineman.

Now what I saw was a perfectly executed play. Now he did have to juke Minter on the way to the end zone which slowed him down allowing Mingo to catch up. That's something that's not told at all.
I believe he juked Loston actually. Minter just wasn't fast enough to get to outside to make the play. Either way it shows that Mingo has rare speed for a guy playing his position.

I've rewatched that play several times. When I have, I've had the thought that Mingo wasn't really that close after all. Impressive that he came close enough to lay a hand on him and I'm not sure any other lineman on the field could have, but that's all that was possible - to come close...

I knew I it was one of them, but that allowed Mingo to catch of with the play. He junked outside cut back in and the ran on. Mingo to me was lucky to be as close as he was.

Someone pointed out that they felt like we scored too early, I felt the same way.

Whatever DJ says is good for me, he earned that but I have rewatched this game at least 7 times (great way to pass the off season) and its funny that every time he scores & we win.

On another note, I DVR every game & EVERY TIME Alabama sores the picture freezes I mean every score on every game. Not sure if it's Bright House or the networks but CBS! ESPN all do the same..
Makes you go huh

I was watching the game and had paused and rewound the action a few times so I was not seeing it "live". This confused my son, who was watching it upstairs and wondered why I was screaming at the top of my lungs two minutes after all the excitement had happened.

ROFLMBO!!! I had a knot on my head where I jumped up and down and hit the ceiling fan...and the bead on top of my hat crushed into my skull...funny thing was, my wife was more worried if I had damaged the fan than my head!
I tend to sit by myself rather than on the couch with my girlfriend during games. I stood up as AJ lead the team down field. When TJ scored, I started running (almost high-stepping) around the living room and ended up relieving myself in the process. My mom and girlfriend couldn't stop laughing at me because of it.

While I applaud Mingo for even getting a finger on him..That's all he did..Yeldon had a full head of steam going forward..And while Mingo was fast enough to close the gap..He was never close enough nor did he have the right angle to keep TJ from scoring a TD..You're not going to stop TJ from scoring when he's got forward momentum & is so close to the goal line(not from behind him any way)..It wasn't as close as it looked..The only prayer Ming had from keeping TJ from scoring a TD..Would be had he was able to strip the ball from TJ. & The Swamp Kittens had recovered the fumble..
