Alabama QB Jalen Milroe says former OC Bill O’Brien suggested he switch positions: ‘That’s motivation’ - The Athletic
Another reason BOB he needed to go!

I currently need to make a career change and have no direction in my life. I have absolutely no idea what i want to do with myself. Bill O'brien gives me hope that whatever I decide to do I will never be as awful as he was.
Honestly, I gave O'brien and Golding too much credit. (which was not much to begin with). After seeing the job Steele and Rees have done this year. O'brien and Golding were even worse than I thought. I am sure outsiders/Bama haters will look up Stats and say that O'brien was better than Rees. But anyone who has watched this team grow and what they had to overcome knows that's not true.Sure explains Millroe’s lack of development over his first two years in the program, doesn’t it?
Where is Bill these days? In the AFC East CELLAR...
My mom could have called plays with Tom Brady at QB.Where is Bill these days? In the AFC East CELLAR...![]()
We wasted 5 years on Golding. I used to be one of those guys that rolled my eyes at posters for constantly bringing him up. But then we got Steele who just simplified the Defense and got our guys back to the basics with fundamentals and aggression. Look at the results just from that. It makes me angry we held on to Pete for so long. This just raises my total disdain for the buffoon we had as an OC. What type of player would he be if he'd had any development his first two seasons? RIDICULOUS And to think we wasted two year's of Bryce Young on that lunatic.
Eh...I kind of like the chip on Jalen's shoulder. I think you got to let some players be themselves within reason. I have been one of Jalen's critics this year but don't have any problem with he said after the iron bowl or in response to what O'brien told him.I do wish Jalen’s response had been a bit more professional. I’m glad he’s our quarterback this year, but I struggle with how he handles himself at times. Part of me hopes he balls out and goes pro.

I dig but dude is still a kid. I have a son his age and sometimes I think he is 21 but most of the time he is 12.I do wish Jalen’s response had been a bit more professional. He and Golding cost Alabama at least one championshipMomma said if you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all. So I'm not going to say anything about Bill O'Brien.

We held onto Pete WAY too long. I'd say he cost us more than anyone. He and Golding cost Alabama at least one championship
What bugs me about it is that Saban hired these guys and, in Golding’s case, held onto him so long against all indicators that he was a subpar coach both during a game and as the LB coach. 5yrs burned and I don’t really know why.We wasted 5 years on Golding.
