From the MCA

Zack McMillan covers basketball at the University of Memphis for the Commercial Appeal, so why he's writing an article on college football is beyond me.

The only thing I can figure is that he's a closet (or maybe not a closet) UT football fan.

How else can you explain all the cheapshots at Bama in an article discussing how well they're doing?

I emailed him a response:

"Perhaps Daniel Moore could do some paintings for Tennessee as well. Maybe he could do hyper-realist paintings of the various UT crime scenes. Maybe reproductions of UT player mug shots. Just a thought. "

I wouldn't worry what the Comical-Appeal has to say about anything.

They are a joke and their staff apparently cares little about honesty or ethics.

During the Young fiasco, that newspaper would take the AP wire stories, change them to their own liking, and then publish them in their newspaper or on their website with the AP tag still on them to make it appear to a reader that they were getting the authentic article from the AP writer. You can't get more blatantly unethical and dishonest than that.

Of course, the stories always were changed by Gary Parrish. He always made sure that Memphis readers got the "facts" that he wanted them to have and didn't get the facts that didn't support his interpretation of the situation.

I like this one from Athlon
