After going to the Bama-Ga game in 2003, it does not suprise me. I was walking by myself down some street when some Ga fan came up to me with his posse and said " Bama! Dont walk any further!," blocking my way. I was thinking what the heck is he some kinda troll? Some girl that was with him was very embarrassed. Needless to say I walked past him, him getting right in my face yelling obscenities at me for a few strides.

I lived in Georgia for 7 years. UGA fans are the most warm weather fans there are and they are almost as classless as LSU's(not saying all of them are)

Payback is a ........... goodtime for us!!!

I watched an Alabama State Trooper about the size of Mt. Cody nail a Georgia Fan in the chest with two fingers when the MDB went to Athens 5 years ago. That idiot had thrown a full beer can then a full beer bottle at our bus as we were leaving the game. After he bounced off the sidewalk, Officer Cody (I don't want to use his real name) zip-tied him and turned him over to the Georgia authorities.

That campus is the only campus on which I have ever felt in physical danger.

I know that same trooper - he's been with the band forever - I once saw two 12-year olds @ South Carolina throwing stuff at our band. From behind them came the trooper who firmly grabbed them by the shoulders and said - in a voice much like Michael Clark Duncan in The Green Mile - "I think you should say you're sorry, little white boys."

I swear - I've never seen two twelve year olds simultaneously soil themselves.

At the game last night there was a UGA fan that came up to us trash talking, yelling in our faces, etc. A certain state trooper came up to him and told him something along the line of "I'm going to need you to leave my band alone." The fan became very apologetic very quickly when he saw that trooper. He's the man.

We have some very good dawg fans who visit & participate here on the board but as a base , as I have always maintained , they are the very worst IMO :(

I really hate to hear things like this. I have lots of friends who attended UGA, and several who work for the university. I've always found UGA fans, in general to be classy and respectful.

But there are dunderheads in EVERY fanbase (yes, including our own), and it's a shame they're the ones that get the "press" and not the ones who are hospitable and demonstrate good sportsmanship.

This kind of nonsense can and usually does happen during night games at most SEC campuses. Or most campuses nationwide in general. Take 20 year old airheads, add beer, and there you go, instant idiots.

Hehehe...it's good to know he's still with the MDB. I rode with him to a game in the police car once (no...I didn't do anything wrong; he was alone and I asked if I could ride). He's a great guy, but I would not want to tick him off.

A good question is this, does anyone ever deserve to be hit in the head with a beer bottle in Bryant Denny other than Payton Manning?

I hope their fans stew in the loss for a very, very long time. Read some of their forums...Bama isn't that good, UGA would have won with another 5 minutes, had the roughing penalty not been called on the first series UGA would have won, etc. Eat it UGA fans.
