And apparently not patience enough to read sabanball's last sentence either...Which segment is it?
I just don't have the patience to watch 3 videos
I know that same trooper - he's been with the band forever - I once saw two 12-year olds @ South Carolina throwing stuff at our band. From behind them came the trooper who firmly grabbed them by the shoulders and said - in a voice much like Michael Clark Duncan in The Green Mile - "I think you should say you're sorry, little white boys."I watched an Alabama State Trooper about the size of Mt. Cody nail a Georgia Fan in the chest with two fingers when the MDB went to Athens 5 years ago. That idiot had thrown a full beer can then a full beer bottle at our bus as we were leaving the game. After he bounced off the sidewalk, Officer Cody (I don't want to use his real name) zip-tied him and turned him over to the Georgia authorities.
That campus is the only campus on which I have ever felt in physical danger.
Hehehe...it's good to know he's still with the MDB. I rode with him to a game in the police car once (no...I didn't do anything wrong; he was alone and I asked if I could ride). He's a great guy, but I would not want to tick him off.At the game last night there was a UGA fan that came up to us trash talking, yelling in our faces, etc. A certain state trooper came up to him and told him something along the line of "I'm going to need you to leave my band alone." The fan became very apologetic very quickly when he saw that trooper. He's the man.
Spot on!...But there are dunderheads in EVERY fanbase (yes, including our own), and it's a shame they're the ones that get the "press" and not the ones who are hospitable and demonstrate good sportsmanship.
