Saw this last night as well. Looks like one of my golf swings….fat….fat…fat.

I’ve seen kickers slip, slide, fall, shank slice, and other things. But I’ve never seen a kicker hit ground like on a seemingly clean plant, although it does look like his plant foot landed too close to ball.

Looks like the ball slipped when the holder put it down.....I'm guessing the kicker saw the ball angle and just completely melted down in route to the ball.

I can't stop laughing at Jaxson Dart's reaction though.

I saw that last night too. He planted his lead foot inches away from the ball which left him no room to swing his right leg through and he chili-dipped it. It looked like some amateur golfer out there trying to hit a sand wedge out of the mud. Fat fat fat.

My golf mechanics are similar. The darn club head hits the ground behind the ball similar to this kickers foot behind the football…. I changed shoes and problem went away (temporarily). Don’t know about the kicker but it could work…..

First, I bet that hurt a lot.
Second, I'm not sure of the thought process here. If you think the hold is not good, you certainly are not going to improve your chances of making the kick by doing that. At a certain point, you are just committed ot the kick and have to follow through.

Sooo….i punted in HS. I once missed the ball on a punt. To this day I don’t know how. Never happened before or after. Was a pretty significant outside rush and since I dropped it correctly the ball bounced straight back up. I caught it and started running, knowing if I didn’t get a first down I was gonna pay for it. Went out of bounds just past the sticks right next to the HC.
