I thought this story was a bit interesting:

What's amusing is this:

1) I absolutely can see Harsin's dad doing this
2) I absolutely can also see some Barner doing this acting like the Dad, too

Bear in mind these are folks that hired Gene Jelks to lie to the NCAA, so it's not exactly a stretch to think one of them might be able to mimic Daddy Harsin enough to pull it off, either.

So if you can't find cause, and Harsin refuses a settlement, and says "see ya in discovery boys", does Auburn cave and give him the $18 million? Conventional wisdom says yes because Harsin is damaged goods and he'll cost you more than that in the coming years.

On the Right Reverend Hugh Freeze front, it is reported his buyout at Liberty is $5 million. So in this scenario, it's $23 million right off the top just to start before you put a contract in front of him.

This is the reason that folks at Auburn "can't have nice things...." :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
They will have to switch from Ultra Charmin to Great Value TP to roll the trees.............

Probably at 35k or in an airport somewhere
i wish they would hire Sean Payton. He would probably last less than Harsin with his ego.
Sean Payton would be a perfect fit for Auburn. Google Saints Bounty Scandal if you need to remember why. Maybe he can find another year of eligibility for Nick Fairley while he's at it.

I will never understand why Sean Payton (and Drew Brees for that matter - if he was so unaware as not to know anything about the bounty, what kind of team leader was he really????) is not universally despised...

Edited because: even dirty players shouldn't have their names unintentionally mispelled...

Sean Payton, Lane Kiffin, and Hugh Freeze all have that look to them that just screams cow pasture. They just look like auburn people

Well, you know, everyone was doing it, or something like that. Plus that Netflix movie Kevin James just did about him said that things "were complicated."

Never cared for Payton as some kind of offensive guru, either, so if Auburn wants to hire him, more power to them. I would actually be less concerned than I would be if they retained Harsin, in fact.

Quote - In 2007 his hedge fund’s returns more than doubled following a prescient short on subprime mortgage securities. Assets soared to $26 billion, and he personally earned $1.7 billion.

Falcone made $1.7 Billion in fees. Between Lowder, Harbert and Rane, if they needed to, they could do this every year or two and never even touch their principle. It is also why they will never allow it go to discovery.
