Have EVs Reached A Short-Term Peak?

Maybe they don't actually pedal very much...lol......
Actually, that's a problem with my model. In order to keep down cost and weight, they made it single-speed. I can easily get to 20 mph in the lowest pedal assist level. I haven't even tried the higher levels. At that speed, with a 16-tooth freewheel, I'm just ghost-pedaling. I plan to replace the freewheel with a 12-tooth...

I actually ordered two - one for the ebike and one for my regular bike. I bought the Tranz-X, and I bought internal, so I still have some work to do on both. The ebike's seat tube is actually open, so not a problem. The other will require some drilling. These posts are oil-dampened...

Plumbing update at Earle's.......

Man, that's not even funny today. Yesterday, I turned on the water to my shop, about 100' from the house. I didn't go check it. We had several days of low single digits last winter. I forgot that my drain valve was stuck open - usually, I drain the plumbing for the winter. I bypassed the draining process and turned on the heat lamps in the shop. Well, the utility sink lines had burst without my knowing it. Anyway, about an hour later, I opened the door and the front room had 1.25" of water. I had a piece of treated about 1 1/4" behind the garage door, because rain tended to run in under the bottom gasket. It acted as a dam, as did the regular entrance door threshold. The shop is 44'x22', with two identical rooms. The threshold on the door between them acted as a dam and kept the water confined to the front room. Hours later, it was down to damp spots. I first crowbarred the strip behind the garage door up and a good bit ran out. Then, I found out my floor had sizeable low spots in the concrete. So, the rest, I had to remove with my wet/dry shop vac, 3 gallons at a time. Naturally, my legs and lower back are trashed today...

Mine are TranzX oil. I finally opted for the model with the lever under the nose of the saddle. I would have had to drill the frame of the regular bike and do some Mickey Mouse things to cable the ebike. It's irritating, but the bike manufacturer, Lectric, of the ebike put a 31.8 seat tube on it, so you'd have to buy from them. I got the 31.6 and I'll buy a Dr. Pepper. Their can is exactly .2mm. There are no 31.6 to 31.8 commercial shims I know of...
