Is it me or was there so many pass interference calls "that didnt get called" and the Javy flag taken away RIDICULOUS!!!!! We need to do something about these SEC refs.. Moreno, Tebow get no calls and JPW gets 1 even though he shouldnt have done it I mean jezzzzz!!!!!!!

But way to go DEF!!!!!:BigA:

I would like an explanation on the 'wave off the flag' on Javy's punt catch. That no-flag cost us 25 yards in field position.

They called it close, but after viewing the replays...I'd say it was called pretty fairly.

The guy looked like he whiffed on Javier, and the hold was a hold...a ticky-tack hold, but it was a hold by definition.

I agree it seems Florida got away with it then Georgia got away with it. Oh,now they start calling the hand phone call an issue? I tihnk it's stupid.
next thing you know you can't even do the Heisman Pose.

Don't forget about the phantom hold call that got JPW's TD called back.

Amen, the flag was thrown after JPW scored, and LSU was holding our Defense all night and no calls, I don't want to here any LSU fans saying we were given that game....we had to fight off their team and the refs all game long. I'll take the win, but it would have been nice to put them away earlier in regualtion.

I agree 110%. Absolutely terrible. The wave-off of the halo violation penalty on Javy's fair catch, was ridiculous, as was the ticky-tack holding call on JPW's TD, since Lswho Oline was flagrantly holding on play after play. Also the no-call on McCoy had an Lswho player pulling on his jersey.
The officiating in this game was garbage.

It was a hold, but it was of the kind that happen on every play, IMHO.

What bothers me more than anything is how frequently they waved off a flag. When was the last time you saw 4 or 5 flags waved off like that in one game?

The fact that it was a Penn Wagers crew makes it even more suspect. This guy has been the referee in more games like this where there are terrible calls, missed calls, etc. than any other ref in the SEC. And I'm not just talking about Bama games. When I saw he was the referee before the game, I said, "uh oh" to my wife and had to explain my 'uh oh' based on the fact that the past is prologue.

That was my problem as well. While it was definitely a hold, LSU was doing worse than that all night and never drew a flag. To suddenly decide to throw a flag on that play is a little suspicious.

I was dealing with the officiating OK until the holding call on Andre with about 2 min. to go. Ticky. Especially after I got to see Cody's Man Teat after his jersey was nearly pulled off on a nice LSU gain in the 1st half. Call it...but call it both ways.

You know, early in the game, CBS did a slow-motion iso shot on Cody. The offensive lineman had grabbed his jersey and his arm was fully extended - a hold... NO FLAG (of course...)

If any of yall get a chance to watch a replay of the game, zero your eyeballs on LSU's OL (especially their center versus Cody). All of them had their hands inside our DLs Tacklepads. Several times they were pulling the jerseys underneath the DL shirts. I saw Saban rip the Line Judge for not calling it, but we never got the call. That is the reason they were able to run the ball. Watch the LOS of scrimmage. They don't push our DL back.... they just pull them to the side of the hole!

I was glad to see the same official who made the hold call on JPW TD run also made the TD call on JPW TD sneak for the win!

Yep. There was one replay where they were commenting on the center-Cody matchup, and the replay showed a hold just as you described--and the CBS guys didn't make a peep about it.

Yeah, it seems that the zebras wanted LSU to knock us off. It almost reminds me of 2004, except this time Bama was strong enough to beat both LSU AND the refs....

if you watch the replay, they didn't throw the flag after the score. They threw it after the hold...which was a hold.

i would like to see exqactly when the refree decided to throw the flag on jpw td run. if it was before he took off to run i can live with that i guess.but if he was clearly on his way to a big play and then throws the flag, then i have to take exception with that call. and i have yet to see a definitive view on earl alexanders fumble in the endzone. cbs and their advertisers got their moneys worth tonight. we won inspite of everybody tonight.
